Fouls Rockets - 5 Lakers - 3 After one. Highly suspicious calls: Phantom foul call on Brooks after Kobe cleared him out Phantom foul on Gasol layup by Landry after standing straight up with no attempt to block it
Oh come on people, there have been 3 or 4 phantom fouls called on us already and no calls on the offensive end with Landry, Artest and Scola. The reason they're not overdoing it is because they don't have to, simple as that. If the Rockets could get back, the refs will take over, believe that.
After the 2nd Q: Rockets - 11 Battier on 3PF; Brooks, Landry and Scola all on 2 PF) Lakers - 8 Noone on more than 1 PF Highly suspicious calls: Scola "minimal contact" on Farmar layup Artest charge with Walton's feet still moving Battier minor bump on Kobe to pick up his 3rd
In typical NBA fashion, there's not a huge foul disparity but our key players get hit with multiple fouls while no Laker has more than 1. That's how they get you. They'll call a similar number of fouls on the other team, but they'll spread them around so that nobody gets into foul trouble.
Exactly, the Rockets have had plenty of phantom fouls already. Still there's no excuse for not being able to hit a shot.
Everyone is looking at the wrong thins. I have no love for Crawford, but turnovers, a lack of a post presence, and bad shot selections are the things killing us.
It's not important, but Joey Crawford DID anticpate a travel on Brooks. Brooks didn't touch the ball after he gave it up in the air in the 3rd quarter.
crawford's not had to do anything yet people. he's in the chamber ready to go off if Stern needs him but so far he's not had to do anything
