    Highlights and more here->http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/nov/29/wikileaks-embassy-cables-key-points#Day 23

Business as usual or are people going to finally act on this information?

As more and more documents come out, the steady drip of gossip is starting to key into issues that actually hold some relevance and show just how wrong the world is. Yes, it's nothing that's totally shocking-but that's the thing. We live in a world where we assume the rules are broken. Isn't that kinda sad?

Either way, are we so grounded in apathy, and so jaded in suffering that we simply don't care? Are these revelations worth the price paid in increased tensions around the world? Is the US government wrong in classifying this information in the first place, and is it bloodied by direct complicity in the great ring of corruption that the world is today (I don't even bother to mention regimes like Russia and China, who have been bloodied too, but of which there can be no reasonable assumption of virtue in the first place)? OR have we already expected the vanguard of freedom, human rights, and democracy to ignore the ideals she was founded on...

Most importantly, can this be changed? Or is it simply human nature to slink back, and accept that certain people will always have certain privileges, and will always flout certain laws?

much more to come as the days go by.

No. In some cases, the US is only indirectly responsible for the injustice.

who exactly will you fight and where exactly shall you direct your anger and disapprovals? the powers that be are so well-camouflaged, you will not find them in this lifetime. and so stacked with assets morey-like that your task for any sort of change would be like that of a gentil butterfly taking on kingkong with a trident in one hand and a red shield in his other. far better to just close your eyes, forget what you've seen, and go about your day. ignorance truly is bliss for in this life, things are much harder than in the afterworld, in this life, you're on your own.

So is everyone who risked death for their cause.

a list which includes, off the top of my head-Jesus, Socrates, Harvey Milk, Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, every soldier in the US Army etc.

hey, truth is the truth. not saying there aren't some f****d up causes, but living life without fighting for something is a terrible thing. Apathy is pathetic.

"The unexamined life is not worth living."

“We are alone, with no excuses. That is the idea I shall try to convey when I say that man is condemned to be free. Condemned, because he did not create himself, yet, in other respects is free; because, once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.”

Assange a few minutes ago on Al Jazeera (roughly translated):

New York Times won't publish some Israeli stuff due to Jewish "pressure".

    lol

Maybe you know something I don't.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't know if it's true.

    I guess you're assuming there's no way it's true?

People's interest in wikileaks has dropped dramatically.

On the other hand, the government's interest in taking it down keeps increasing.

At least that's what it seems like to me.
