If we lose the next two games, THEN FIRE HIM!
But I believe that the Rockets will return to normality and have easy victories.
If you say we are bad...look at the #4 Celtics in the Eastern Conference. They just got blown out by the New Jersey Nets on Christmas Day...and yesterday they lost by 20 points to the Miami Heat! So should they fire Jim O'Brien? I bet they are having the same discussion in the Boston message board.

im thinking rudys loose rein on his players is evident...break the play when you see something better...as an example eariler this year..with only serveral seconds left on the clock.....after a timeout..i saw rudy screaming something to francis..who seemed to ignore him..and as soon as francis caught the ball, he jacked up a three and missed..i seriously doubt rudy called that play...
rudy previously won with veteran teams who deserved the trust he put in them...this young, immature group of hard-headed players don't...maybe they should start scripting plays for the whole game :) if rudy is waiting until his players(francis, moochie,eddie,cat...)"get it"..its going to take awhile..

The Rocket's offense is pathetic. What the hell is going on out there? The team just doesn't even look prepared out there. They don't have a game plan. On EVERY possession, they players should know what they are trying to accomplish. Being close isn't good enough anymore. Winning sloppy games is not acceptable either.

If Hubie Brown can make the Memphis Grizzlies play organized and disciplined on offense and defense, then there's no reason the Rockets shouldn't either. It's got nothing to do with selfish guard play, if they play selfish, let them play themselves out of the rotation.

    Mr. Clutch,

Great post. It seems that Rudy is at the end. I've stated that Rudy was lost. Even during the Second Championship. Hubie did it, find someone like him. Calvin Murphy. More Bball IQ than Rudy.
    No Playoffs with Rudy! Ever!

About Hubie Brown. He has done a fabulous job and his team has been getting wins. That's what a good coach can do. Maybe our players are too heartbroken because KT is gone. But maybe they will be even more depressed if Rudy left.

I agreed that we need more discipline with this team. On a veteran teams I think Rudy's coaching style would be good. They don't need a coach to get on them on every mistake that they make. But with a young team like Houston (with some hard head players) they need more discipline before they learn from their mistakes. I think someone from the top need to get Rudy to enforce discipline on them. Obviously the nice way of teaching them doesn't work then you need to relied on tough discipline. This include benching the star and veteran players if needed. They need to lose their playing time before the realize that they need to follow orders for them to play. We all know that sometime we need a spanking from our parents to do things right. So, we should give Rudy a chance this season to see what he can do. If the Rocket don't turn around and get into the playoff, there is a chance that Rudy won't be here next year. I think very few ( if any) coach would still have a job if they missed the playoff 4 years in a row. With that being said, sometime it's very easy to criticize people but we don't really know what is going on inside the teams. May be it's not Rudy's fault but we need to change players instead.

M/M I suggest you reread my post at the start of this thread. The other posters took it another way. It must have been over their head!

We should have gotten Larry Brown for Rudy in the KT trade. :). At least SF isn't a headcase like Iverson.
