no better eg than Obama fixing the economic mess left unfixed by W, and then lifting the US economy out of the recession trump inherited a growing economy, plenty of jobs, but proceeded to piss it away
Name something that doesn't revolve around taking something from one person and giving it to another. Here is a shocker. Instead of loan forgiveness for some of the most worthless degrees, perhaps give a high school graduate $5000 a year to take a finance course. Another $5000 to take an indepth course on blue collar jobs. Allow someone to take 5 or 6 of these of courses. Instead forgiving hundreds of thousands for crappy BA.
Forgive all student loans. Make all education free at the point of service. Eliminate the donor class for higher education education. All education will be purely funded through tax collections. Increase taxes to fund these endeavors. That simple. Education should have no other motive besides education. There should be no such thing as a 'useless degree'. My experience being around engineering students and professionals made me realize how bubble brained the community is and the amount of hubris they have in understanding society because the understand differential equations. I want more people curious about other cultures, ideas, political philosophies etc. Not less.
Perhaps we need to look into why prices are high? US regulators urge Congress to look into grocery profits https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/...ursday's report, the FTC,peak of 5.6% in 2015.
link should work for everyone Why Are People So Down About the Economy? Theories Abound. Things look strong on paper, but many Americans remain unconvinced. We asked economic officials, the woman who coined “vibecession” and Charlamagne Tha God what they think is happening. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/30/...e_code=1.v00.krm3.xRmTx1tAZH4N&smid=url-share
I think those aren’t bad ideas. I don’t really have a strong opinion on the student loan forgiveness though.
Read that piece and think it brings up some pretty good points regarding the differences between personal outlook and overal views of the economy.
@adoo wall street realizes if trump wins the national debt will explode even more so and well run higher deficits @Invisible Fan any word from you folks

Biden has been in office for 41 months; that makes 41 consecutive months of job creation, averaging >100K each month contrast that to his predecessor, the only POTUS to have generated a net loss in job creation
But what did you expect? Zerohedge was the same moron who predicted a massive recession in 2022 and who spews non stop lies about the economy 24/7. That's why his followers are braindead @Space Ghost
Off topic, but how about taking some of that money and fixing up your crappy ass store by me or better yet close it, it's so trashy even us white trash folks wont go in there.
Trump is a disaster for fiscal responsibility. He's happy to run the US on steroids. He'll be dead by the time the chickens really come to roost.
Extending the trump tax scam where 80%< of the benefits went to the top 10% will add 4 trillion dollars to the deficit
