Georgia Tech probably won't finished ranked. And none of their wins will be top 10 and most are at home. Unless the human polls switch VT and UT, there's not much chance of VT jumping them.
I still don't get it. You went to a great school and yet you still have this inferiority infatuation with UT.
Thanks for the laugh. I guess it's easy to talk big coming off such a lopsided win over the awesome Kansas juggernaut. Good luck with Nebraska today and K-State next week- It will look better if tech is undefeated when the Longhorns crush them.
LOL - which of my points do you take issue with? The only one would probably be the "Stoops is in their heads" comment, but at that time in the game I believe that was accurate.
I might agree w/ some...but a few good things for UT happened in the interim and I just happened to notice that not 1 was mentioned. That was one of the most brutal hits I've seen. Bomar couldn't breathe.
Bout damn time. 5 long years over with, thank goodness. Oh and for good measure: It's 4:03 PM and...................... OU SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
Just because those teams are top 25 right now doesn't mean they will be when they play VT. Using your logic, we just beat a top 10 OU team. They were ranked #7 to start the season, after all.
I am a confirmed Horns hater (and one of the very few College Football fans in Texas to hate BOTH UT and A&M) Even I must admit this is the best Horns team since their National Championship squad way back there 69-70. I still think USC is probably about 10 points better...but with the right breaks you could give em a run.
Perhaps Mack Brown the Recruiter has finally assembled a team that not even Mack Brown the Coach can screw up.
What accounts for Oklahoma's fall-off? Did they not have good recruiting classes in recent years to replace ten year seniors like Jason White? It just seems like there is a serious talent gap now.
Peterson was the best running back in the country coming out of HS. Bomar was the best QB in the country coming out of HS. Both of those guys are from Texas I might add...Their problem is that they lost a lot of linemen and Bomar is having to play early due to the incompetence of Paul Thompson and the transfer of Grady. OU has outrecruited UT the past few years.
USC has had 3 straight close calls against such "powerhouses" as Oregon, ASU (#15) and currently lead lowly Arizona by 14. USC's defense is not their strong point so I think it'd be a toss up.
Arizona just scored to cut the lead to seven. USC really misses guys like Cody, Patterson and Udeze. They have an incredible offense, one of the best ever - so they'd be favorites over whoever they played - but a team with a strong o-line and an athletic defense coud play with them.
the more i see bomar play, i don't understand how he was so highly recruited. i know the oline isn't very good but there were at least 10 passes today that weren't even close to the receiver, his accuracy isn't very good and he doesn't have good command or leadership over that offense. he might develop in a couple of years but he simply isn't ready or good enough to be a starting quarterback at a school like OU. regardless, horns fans can chant "OU SUCKS" and it be the truth.
