For the love of God, you need to beat OU first before making this statement.....

    Until then, eat crow.

This isn't the same OU coaching staff. They've lost their key cog in Mike Stoops and haven't found an ample replacement. Granted, Mike Venables is a solid guy, but he was never the brains of the defense. Chuck Long, their OC, has been calling plays like a p*ssy since week 1, and most Sooner fans want him fired ASAP. Their O-line coach has run off several key players who decided they'd rather quit than listen to his crap.

    A hard working band!

    :D:D

Seriously, we are playing the "Buddy Walk", a fundraiser for the Houston Downs Syndrome Association. It's at the George R. Brown...the walk begins at 10AM and we will be setup along the route to keep the walkers going. We did it last year and Channels 11 & 13 showed us on the news. It's a great feeling to do it for the kids, and the downs syndrome kids love music, so it's a natural fit.

That is not something to joke about. Someone actually died okay. Please try not to mix that tragic incident with this relatively meaningless game.

And if you really think it's just a rumor, read my earlier post.

Well, it does appear he was an appealling fellow. In fact, they were a-peeling him off of the sidewalk.

Wow, i didn't think you guys could act like this. I know better now.

I wouldn't make jokes if someone you knew committed suicide. I'm not that callous and I certainly don't hate or care about UT enough to do so.

    go sooners I guess.

I don't really feel like it's the UT fans making fun of the suicide. Most of us remember the circumstances surrounding the fall of the bonfire years ago, and I can't recall anyone treating the loss of life at that point lightly.

Anyway, our thoughts and condolences. I certainly do hope UT wins, as a grad and a huge fan, but obviously there are still things WAY more important than football.

I still think, unlike eveyrone else it seems, that Vince Young needs to learn how to read the defense better and become more accurate. I am a Longhorn but I cringe everytime Young throws an interception.

My biggest fear of this season is that UT and Virginia Tech go undefeated and VT gets into the national game because of their schedule.

In that situation, where both schools go undefeated, all we can hope for is that SOMEHOW, Texas is rewarded for not only scheduling Ohio St on the road, but also beating them as well. If not, why the hell would anyone, anywhere, EVER schedule a top ranked team like that again outside of conference?? It would be the definition of high risk-low reward.

Clearly, you have not spent much time around UT fans. They're some of the worst in the business, especially the "t-shirt" fans who didn't even go there.

You really don't have any place to talk about that you know - just about every Texas sports thread is an opportinuty for you to either 1) try to wind-up Texas fans or 2) generally be a dick. Neither is nice.

Maybe you can tell me how you know it's UT fans saying that?

BTW, I'd rather see people in Texas t-shirts than see denim shirts all day long.

Let me guess, another Aggie thats still bitter after all these years that he did not get into UT.

I know your schools reputation is not as good as mine. People do respect us more. Our football team is a hell of alot better than yours.

But the past is the past man leave it alone. Dont be so bitter.

Neither one of them are UT fans...well at least FFB isn't. I think it's disgusting to make fun of someone's death, but that's been done many times around here.

This t-shirt fan who didn't even go to UT finds him laughingly predictable.

UT hasn't beat OU any of the years I attended (i.e. the past 5 seasons) so now that I've graduated, I'm hoping above all other hopes that UT will finally get the job done.

Who cares about hip replacement surgery, just let UT beat the f'ing bloody hell out of OU.
