It won't be easy, but the Rockets need to try to acquire S. Curry

Shot 48% from the field and 43% from three this year with a fantastic 60% TS. He's also a capable defender and is able to switch the p&r. He can be exactly what we need off the bench if we lose Gordon for LeBron, or just need a fourth guard in the rotation (which we desperately needed against GS).

He's an unrestricted free agent this season. If we get LeBron James, then on July 1st we need to send Harden, Bron, CP3 and Hakeem to the Curry household at midnight to bring that man over for the MLE. We will need more spot-up shooters.

    Paul/Curry
    Harden/Green
    Ariza/Mbah a Moute
    LeBron/Tucker
    Capela/Cheese

Anyone else agree? What do you think he can fetch on the open market?

I'm confused, but I'm guessing you mean Seth?

I knew it wasn't Steph once you started talking about defense.

Seth Curry is 6’2 and 185 lbs, what PnR is he switching? No thanks, he’s the type that turns into a liability against GS. Pass. He is definitely no Ego replacement...

    Idiotic click-bait thread title.

Pass on Steph, Seth, Del, Bob, Herman, Beaver, and whoever Curry

    Why though?

It isn't easy to find guys capable of knocking down 42% (or more) of their threes. Rockets lost their chance at an NBA title because they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn in Game 7 when they had a double digit lead in the second half.

He won't be expensive, we need more guard help, and he is capable of running off picks and shooting off the curl screen. If we lose Gordon, we can keep our sets for Seth. It'll be a refreshing change of pace for our iso-heavy offense.

Not to mention, he'd be on the court with at least ONE of the three best facilitators in the NBA today. He'd get a bunch of open looks. Very underrated defender also.

rockets lost bc they were missing cp3 and a factor outside of the their control. people biting into the missed shots story is just dumb.

Three reasons we lost the series:

    1) CP3 injury
    2) Officiating
    3) Ice cold shooting

If we eliminate ONE of those three reasons, we win the title. All we needed to do was shoot 25-30% from 3 in game 7 to win. Horrible percentage, but it would have gotten it done. I'm not sure why that's a dumb take.

Seth can shoot the lights out. He would have wide-open looks all year long -- moreso than when he was with Sacramento, Phoenix or Dallas. I think he can take his game to the next level with us.

Hard pass on Seth Curry, he was injured all season and we would have to give up picks or something comparable to get him out of Dallas. We need those draft picks to try to offload Ryan Anderson..

Funny, you know the player we needed in the playoffs was probably more similar to Lou Williams but we shipped him out to get CP3.
Even if we get a player of PG13 or LBJ they both have to be willing to play off the ball in order for our team to be successful.

you could eliminate #3 and it still wouldn't have mattered bc #2 is what took them off from being able to shoot well. thats why its a dumb take

Is he really worth MLE money though? Just asking cause i honestly didn't watch him in Dallas before getting injured, i know he was kinda playing well cause there was some talk about him being finally a decent/good (?) nba player instead of "the scrubby brother of...".

Anyway, generally speaking, in a scenario where we land Lebron or George (so, a 3/4), i would be ok in signing a pg/sg with the MLE even if it means letting Luc (another 3/4) go, if we'll lose Gordon we'll need to cover that spot a bit, assuming someone worth it will be availabe of cours.

I'm doubtful he wants to be a backup. Whether he has a choice in that is a different matter.

*face palm* on this thread....if Seth Curry was so great, why didn't he tear things up for the Mavericks?
