It was Adelman's fault.

denniscd is on the mark once again. I am mentally sending him five stars for his post. There..sent.

Every one of his posts should be stickied. And then printed in the Houston Chronicle, page 1, above the fold.

I don't understand those who would have put Hayes or Scola on KG instead. They don't think KG wouldn't have hit those jumpers on the them too? Please.

They needed to run the offense that got them the lead to begin with. Why go away from it? Everyone was doing great working off the penetration of Brooks. Adelman is too loyal or maybe stubborn. Quit having Luther Head out there in critical situations. We need penetrators. When you have Luther Head out there, because all he can do really is hit the open three when the defense is geared toward Yao, he stagnates the offense trying to post Yao. It's not worth it. I'm with jopatmc ... play Brooks instead of Head.

i agree that brooks should've been in. he made a rookie miskate by turning the ball over on a drive where he didnt have anywhere to go. well luther makes the same mistakes.

the offense changed when yao returned to the game. the tea had to get it into him rather than scrap for baskets round the rim with rafer and bonzi.

One problem with me was only thing that Rockets did better than Celtics was rebounding. And Yao could push away all Celtics' centers.

Then, why we couldn't use our big line-up to slow down their small lineup?

When they made mismatch with their small match-up, it could be for us to make other mismatch up too.

Also about Head, I like him when he only shoots.
If he tried to do something other than shooting, he always makes me sweating. He's not a good ball handler. He should be a spot-up shooter.

ok, you realize the celtics other bigs fouled out right ? and they brought in posey to play PF....

would you rather have Yao on posey, or KG ?

KG is the much better matchup for yao, people.

Is this a joke? Give Theus 2 years. He will be one of the best coaches in the league... Adelman should be praised though? Seriously? Praised... Praised? Praise Adelman? We should "praise" Adelman?

    Praise Adelman?

Yes, he should be praised for leading us "the Adelman way" to 15-17...what a genius he is!

Really...he should be fired now if we want to save this season! :(

Head did that clutch turnover no? passed it to Yao on his knees or something.

I can't really argue with the matchups, Rondo shouldn't technically, be able to stay with Luther for the three ball. When we are looking to score, that would have been the best match up. Battier on Pierce ( no Brainer best defender, and Battier hit the 3 ball that he was supposed to, missed the one he was supposed to hit too). Bonzi on Posey, Rafer on Allen, and Yao on Garnett. If the first posession we got at 2:22 was a Yao jump shot. It would be a hugely different story, or even a Head 3pt or a Battier 3pt. It gave us options on the offensive end. Ultimately the turnover killed that, and then Celtics scored on the next posession. Correct if im wrong, KG got a jump shot of a dribble penetration by Pierce? or Allen?

Celtics up by two. Still ok, but Yao missed the baby hook. and then I think if my memories serves me correctly Rondo burned Head (which AB wouldn't have let happen) and Garnett got another jump shot. Its a 50/50 if you ask me. If i was the coach, would you trust Luther to hit the three ball at the end, or AB. Thats probably the only decision I would have changed, Luther Head being in the lineup at the end.

    Now, if T-mac was playing.............................

Really? Is that so? Because you certainly can't tell it from the tone of these posts...

I just love how all of a sudden an experienced, veteran coach like Adelman is suddenly some sort of idiot. But then, this is the Rockets where blaming the coach for the mistakes of the organization starts at the top with the owner.

I agree that Yao on Garnett is the worst matchup ever but, who was Yao going to guard during those last minutes when they went small after their other two bigs fouled out?

Maybe that would have been a good time for a zone, since we know from previous years that Yao can't guard quick good shooting perimeter 7 footers.
