    The reason I like Rudy Gay is not only because he is an athlete but he seems to have a decent all around game. He does a little bit of everything. Teams with decent athleticism absolutely KILL the Rockets, look at the Atlanta Hawks game. I've said this before but guys like Josh Howard give the Rockets fits and putting David Wesley on Carmelo Anthony in the closing seconds of a game is not going to cut it.

    i would have to say vernon maxwell would be about the type of caliber player we need. he could give you some much needed scoring when you needed it. and im thinking that that is what most people are talking about here.

    I agree totally with this post. "3rd star/scorer" indeed.

    BTW if JVG is really such a good defensive coach he should be able to deal with at least one player known primarily for his offense. If we limit acquisitions to good defensive players, who are JVG "good guys" ,who can also be 20 ppg scorers when necessary, we will never find that player till Yao and Especially T- Mac is past his prime.
