Being a die-Rockets/houston fan, and despising anything "Dallas" related, it really pains me to say this, but just a thought, Dirk would be a good fit for out power forward spot.

A stretch 4 that can alleviate some scoring from Harden. i know he's sub-par at defense and rebounding, but i'm only looking at it from the offensive perspective. He's on his last leg of his career and wants to win a championship. i don't know how Morey would do this, but that's a thread for "ridiculous trade ideas."

Ideally, i would LOVE K.Love to ultimately become a Rocket, but i was just thinking about this last night.

    Thoughts?

Bad rebounder, old, bad defender. Even D-Mo and T-Rob looks better for now, D-Mo even has post-up game almoste on same level, just need to polish it much more.

How you even imagine this oldie running down the court with our young lineup? I imagine it like Nowitzki is on half court and offense is already going back to defense..

Don't feel bad, it's been suggested on here a number of times. I wouldn't mind having him either if the price was right. He can make big time shots and would provide good veteran leadership.

But it won't happen. Cuban won't let Dirk go to a division opponent.

Dirk thrives in the system built around him and it's not going to happen here. And he is too slow for the pace~

agree that he would be a good fit for our system, but in all likelihood, Dirk will retire a Mav or he'll be traded to the East.

    DOUBLE HOCKEY STICK NO!!!!!

I live in Dallas and see too much of him and NO!!!

Yeah he can make some shots, but Dirk is not clutch... He will disappear when things get tough and he has no defense.. Can't even spell the word and has no ideal of what an inside game is.

OP, please don't create a thread that doesn't say what the thread is about and instead has some vague reference to your feelings. Clutch has asked people not to do this on several occasions.

Not trying to pick on you individually, but it's a real pet peeve of mine. Thanks!

Not the best option if we're thinking long term.

Doesn't matter much though, since I doubt he'd sign anywhere outside of Dallas if he still has gas in the tank.

I'd particularly have a huge problem with this.

Dirk pretty much said he was going to retire a Mav if it is up to him and Cuban said he is not going anywhere.

Dirk is not a bad rebounder. He averages 8 for his career and is averaging 7 this year.

Dirk is just too old for this team. If he were 28, I would love to have him.
