von had one decent year, and yet he still couldn't find a home in the NBA. he sucked before last year.

chase already is doing well in his rookie year, and he'll keep improving.

he already passes more times than von ever did the entire year last year ;)

I'm sorry, after never being able to establish himself with any of the 5 NBA teams he played for and being rejected by all of them that he had to leave the NBA???

lol. Von sucked just as bad as he always had. Other teams were smart enough to see that, it was coach Adelman's princeton offense that allowed him to flourish, and he still made dumbass boneheaded plays. There was a reason no other team wanted him for the price he was asking...

I see so much potential in Chase...and he looks like a hardworker.

    Exactly.

At 30 y.o, I'm hoping he can finally learn though.

    LOL

There is a HUGE transiton from college ball to the NBA. Any NBA draftee would kill to avg the same ppg they did in college.

There is no correlation between the conjecture you are trying to make btw...

Chase gets his points by playing within the team. Von got his pts by going ISO.

IMO, Chase is the better offensive player.

    Based on what?

I'm very interested in your reasoning.

This, I agree with. Chase is overall a better offensive player b/c he can play in any system, create for others, finish, and shot. Von could shoot and create for himself, but nothing else. Being a good offensive player has to do with more than just a players ability to put up shots.

    Based on what?

The best thing about Budinger that makes him better than Wafer is his attitude. Chase will absolutely never complain about not getting enough minutes or being benched or anything, even if it truly is blasphemous or unfair to him or even detrimental to the Rockets organization... he is too laid back to complain.

While I agree with this I also understand Von's frustration, he was on a one year deal and really wanted to prove himself.

It was a breakout year for a guy who had bounced around, and it got him $10 million bucks.

As I said, I would like to have them both.
