    Whatever, Swollen Dorito

    ;)

I was seriously hoping to be proven wrong, but alas, I was right.

So, I want next year to be a bright and shiny one, so what do we need to do NOW to prepare for that?

That is what this is about.....

I understand if you are ticked that the Astros did not make the playoffs, so am I, thus all the venting......now it is time to plan....scheme, come back stronger.

    Ok...Amigo?

Dude. Don't call me "amigo." Do I look like an ISUZU vehicle or Carl Herrera to you?

I could care less if they're in the basement or if Jennifer Gardner is their manager. I cheer them on until the last game. The season is NOT over, my friend. You will NEVER see me bad-mouth my Astros. Jump back on the bandwagon at your convenience. I hate it when someone says: "I hope I am proven wrong, but..." WTF? Then don't say what you're going to say... it's that simple.

;) Swollen Dorito. Nice. Why not just call me "Doritos 3-D"?

It's time for the Astros to go on a 13-4 run. PERIOD.

Where's that dude that predicted the Rockets winning streak?!? Paging CED?

    Look Swoly,

I was stating an opinion that I thought the Astros were out of it, that doesn't mean that I stopped ROOTING for them every day, look at the threads, I watch every single game. You are shooting the messenger, it is not my fault that I was 100% dead on right about the team.

Sorry for the Amigo comment it was in refernce to your following of the Mexican national futbol squad....it was meant as friendly jab.....no offense intended.

When did this become inappropriate? I still have friends who greet me with and call me "amigo", and I am neither an Isuzu or Venezuelan. Or, did I miss some obvious sarcasm?

    Hah !!

All I ever said was that I speculated that Drayton might have made this promise to lure Clemens back for one more year.

And, yes, that speculation was wrong.

It was a guess as to why he came back and the supposed big announcement on September 1st......

This is one of my favorite movies ever. The scene where they shoot the invisible man is hilarious!

Tragic Number down to 13 thanks to the Reds losing to the Padres again. The hometown nine is now 5 back with 17 to go.

msn, I just don't want DaDarkone to call me "amigo." I hate it when people just want to use Spanish to make it seem like they want to be friendly. F*ck 'em.
Well, DaDarkone, tell us, the Astros... we will die like dogs...

I understand the DORITO name. It's all in fun, double D. I took no offense. Just don't call me "amigo." WTF do I call you, mein Freund?

So you say F'em in refernce to me, then try to make nice? WTF is that?

And, I am a mutt a mix of European and American Indian, so just call me "Macaca" (not really, but I don't get offended by calling me DaDarkone etc)

    ;)

    Comprende Amiga?

(HEHEH - just kidding don't get your panties in a wad)

Perhaps I am guilty as charged? I am clearly not of Hispanic descent, yet I actively study Spanish and converse with friends (and complete strangers) in Spanish--just because I want to.

Lo siento, compadre, eso era demasiado fácil.

I already said Girardi. And 100 games is all I have to evaluate him. His lineup has actually been consistent since the All-Star break and if you actually took the time to google his name, you can find instances of him yelling at the team. E.G.-grabbing a player by the collar and yelling at him in the dugout when they swept the cubs.

It's hard to tell if Swoly-D is really mad or just playing like he's mad, because he uses about 15 different smilies in every post...

If Andy is gone for the rest of the season with the elbow deal so are our remote, slim playoff chances. I think Hirsch can continue to adequately fill as a 4th starter but without the Big 3 able to roll, who can get it done?

Sampson maybe. Borkowski? Nieve? I dont know about him probably more suited for short/long relief. Wandy? Oh sh*t! Please thats a horror movie looking to happen. A Bob Knepper type pitcher and that picture aint pretty.

Also, some timely hitting outside of Sir Lancealot would be nice and situ-freakin-wational hitting. All year basically. Cant move runners over and get runners home when less than 2 outs via sac fly or with groundouts even. Unbelievable how many opportunities we've aquandered there alone.
