I'll go further than that and say it has to go both ways. Should Biden win, he'll have to find a way to reach out to the large number of voters that supported Trump. Obviously they have felt neglected. They need to be listened to and be part of the conversation.
That is why they were voting for Trump. They felt like he was listening to their issues or was at least a thorn in the side to those that wouldn't listen. There is a reason Trump got so many votes. And so many people are willing to believe crazy BS conspiracy theories trotted out all the time. I'm not sure how to make sure they know their concerns are listened to but it would help the Democrats if they could do that.
I do not think it is only what he did or did not do for them, we have to be honest here. He is a big personality whether that's positive or not. Honestly, Covid 19 alone should have been the 'death sentence' for his campaign. Honestly, Americans do not care about world economy, climate issues, diplomatic relations, those are really big issues for the rest of the world, everywhere except in this country. The US are an influencer of those. Heck, they did not even care about health care issues amidst a pandemic. That's really bizarre. I expected close to 30% but not 47% voting for him. The popular vote should be more of a factor, Biden will win by 5 million differential, 5 million is darn plenty. This EC thing is wasting everyone's time.
