Why do you think it was you not being a dick/being a 'nice' guy that got you friend zoned? Did you do lots of BF favors for her without flirting or calling her out on it? I put a friend who is a so-called pickup artist to try his act on a cute girl I knew. The whole cocky attitude turned her off. She put him in the friend zone because he still amused her, and he had a pickup truck for her moving needs. Her BF of one year is a very nice guy. He's also an attorney. I've found that most men with a cool sense of humor, confidence, decent income, and some sort of hobby or skill (tennis, skydiving, etc.) tend to attract females easily. Some of them are overweight so looks/physique aren't too important.

Act more confident and push her boundaries. Women change their mind all the time. It doesn't have to be the jerk way, just more flirting and teasing with a ****load more physical touching. Sometimes friend zone is worse than not knowing her at all, so make her your test subject while you're looking out for other women. If you're not confident inside, fake it till you make it. Yea man. You can't be their friend and then ask them out. Meet a girl, figure out if shes worth getting to know, and when you ask her out make it a point to say you want to take her on a date.
