It's funny, but you definitely have to get yourself in the mindset of a low-budget, British production television show.

I liked enough parts of the first few episodes to give it a few more shakes.

It's funny stuff, but not quite as funny as Garth Marenghi's Dark Place, which has some of the same people, and was also a British comedy. It was one of the funniest things ever made.

I can see why a lot of people would be turned off by the first few episodes. I didn't think the show was really that great until I watched season 2. Denholm is probably the best character from Season 1.

But watch Season 2 episode 1, "The Work Outing", and tell me its not one of the funniest things you've ever seen. also "Moss and the German" and "The Dinner Party".

I've been watching Season 3 again too, Episode 2 "Are We Not Men" is hysterical, as is episode 5 "Friendface"

Coupling is still my favorite British comedy of all time. Talk about a show with tremendous writing that doesn't get its due.

The last season sucked hard (once Jeff Murdock left), but it rocked until then.

    Denholm for the win...

What was Wenger thinking sending Walcott on so early?

lol, that's gotta be the best line from Denholm ever.

Anyway, this isn't IT Crowd, or even the same type of humor, but I found the Mighty Boosh to be amazing. The guy who places Moss is in it for some episodes and the actor who plays Richmond actually stars in it.

The Mighty Boosh really took off in the 2nd season.

The first season is a bit dry, they're always at the Zoo... its a bit slow.

When the shop opens, thats when the fun begins.

Its not quite the same as IT Crowd, its a lot more absurdist, which I like.

    My favorite episode!

Maybe it's because I am more of an IT guy than most on the board, but the show's funny as hell and yes that is mainly based on season 1 so far.

Thanks for the show recommendation

Naw, it flopped during screening phase. They only made the pilot and this thread is proof why they never committed to it hehe.
