Here at my parents in Pasadena near Fairmont and Beltway 8 the power just came on, plus AT&T is working. That's shocking. Hilarious hearing everyone in the neighborhood yelling and screaming POWER!!!

Does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumor that it will take 2-4 weeks to restore power to the Kingwood/Humble/Atascocita Areas???

There is no justice in this world when Stinkadena has power yet River Oaks does not. We make your jobs. Excuse me for being a bit edgy -- I have been without a Frappucino for days and I had to throw out some gourmet truffles earlier today. I am also overdue for a car wash.

Had our power go out at 7 on Friday (old trees = easily downed power lines) and just had it come back at 1:30 today. I will never take electricity for granted again.

sweet, they had a huge deal on the radio with entergy and they were saying the whole grid was knocked out and had to be restored. Dunno why they would say that, but they did.

What's that? I couldn't hear you with the AC running and the TV is too loud. I'll crack a cold beer and get back with ya later. :)

Chron.com's power checker is so dumb...

I posted a listing about my address stating that it did not have power as of 4PM and it got deleted, and some dumbbutt put up that it DID have power (falsely) with no description and his entry was allowed to stay.

    This is pointless.

OK, I don't follow Trader_Jorge's posts so I can't tell if he is being sarcastic or serious. Either way this post is a riot, I would be laughing for different reasons depending on its sarcasm or sincerity.

77379 progress has been very small. Most outages of any zip in greater Houston area and have seen very few Centerpoint trucks out here. It seems like there is power going up all around us, but not in the zip itself very much.

Uh, the south side of Pasadena is far from poor.
