It could take weeks before some get power

I have a friend who is due in Harris County Court downtown for a DWI charge...does anybody know the status of that court, or what normally happens? He paid his bail in full. The problem (besides his irresponsibility) is that I paid a ticket for him to come visit us in New Zealand on the 24th. Does anybody know what's up with the downtown courts? Thanks.

I thought there was a notice about Downtown Houston being closed, but not sure for how long. If I come across anything more, I will update in this thread.

 

BMoney, your friend needs to call the court. Actually, he should probably have a lawyer if he's charged with DWI, and his lawyer should call the court.

I saw an alert telling citizens NOT to report for jury duty on Monday.

 

There's still no power in Stafford, not behind the fountains at least. Someone spoke to Center Point and said, it could take weeks.

willowbrook has power. im assuming cuz we're by the hospital over here. im suprised jersey village is still out.

i dont have internet at my house. do you have comcast? i would go ask my neighbor but he doesnt seem to be home.

 

anyone know about getting comcast service back on? Totally an unnecessary service, but it would help the time to pass till normalcy returns.

My neighbor in Pasadena (around Space Center and Fairmont) said we have power. I don't know how widespread it is, but they're making progress.

 

Memorial Mall has power, and I live a mile away from it, but without power or water.

 

Just got power back this afternoon in Spring. Louetta and Kuykendahl area.

My wife and I said "Screw it" and hightailed it to Austin this morning. We're hanging out here for 2 days, and I'm working from my hotel.
