Silas shares in the blame, but it’s not entirely his fault. Stone is just as much to blame by giving a Silas such a ridiculously unbalanced roster. Ownership is to blame. The players are to blame too. This team is a straight up **** sandwich and everyone is at fault. **** them all.
It's not his fault the players suck but it is his fault for being an awful coach who can't run any plays and becoming emotionally invested in a scrub like KPJ who he handed the keys to the offense. He should have been already fired
it’s really patrick’s fault for not killing his dad and taking over the team sooner. it’s time for a youth movement up top
Silas has done squat in this league to deserve having a super roster. That said, the whole organization is not a well oiled machine. Everyone except a few suck right now.
The whole KPJ story is Stone's fault too, he traded for him and the franchise was feeding the media that KPJ's development took priority.....
And here we are, what is next? Is our faults for being fans. We are enablers by supporting the team. It’s broken at historically bad levels. Something has to change or does it?
The roster is full of development projects. One major disappointment is that I didn't expect Jabari to perform as poorly as he has throughout the season, but he remains on the starting lineup for development reasons. If Jalen and Jabari performed more consistently at a high level, that would translate to more wins. And we don't know how much control Silas really has over the minutes distribution among players. For example, if it was his decision to play Nix and Mathews over Josh and TyTy then he should be let go. But the fact that Nix is still on the roster and Silas is still the coach tells me that these weird lineups we're seeing aren't all on him. It's like you go to work and your boss doesn't give you the tools you need to be successful. The laptop the company gave you is crappy, the internet connectivity is crappy, and the coffee in the break room tastes like ****. That is what Silas is working with now...****. We should've known this would be the result when Stone brought back last year's 20-win team roster. I'd like to see Silas coach another year to see what he could do with a better roster and the expectation is to win rather than simply "work hard" and be "tough to beat." But I'd also understand if Fertitta wants to go in a different direction. But nothing changes unless we add more talent to the roster.
Silas mins distribution and his inability to coach/discipline the youngsters are the big reason why we suck. He's the coach and if the ship sinks, he's the one to blame. U can also blame silas for building a shtty ship though. We have a log jam at guard, can't get rid of eric gordon. nix, bruno and mathews aren't really players u want on a team and no fking pg. A smarter coach would have pivoted to sengun to control the offense ages ago. Silas like many on here are still too in love with the failed kpj pg experiment
The same talent pool had beaten OKC 3 days ago. And conceded 153 last night. The highest OKC scored in their history. I don't think the only problem is talent pool. If someone misses few games because of injury, you bring him from the bench and give him 20 minutes. What happened? JGreen started, immediately missed lots of silly shots and the rhythm gone. TyTy is the only Pg in this squad and you give the role to KPJ, Nix, Ego,.. You lose 40 to OKC and play Hudgins. You don't care. OKC might win by 55 but they did not want, kept SGA away. Tanking is a crime, it is a game-fixing and the related people to be sent to prison. If this Silas/Stone/Tilman were competing in Europe, they would be certainly behind the bars.
