Say it with me- there is no such thing as a distinct "Palestinian" people. They have no distinct culture or traditions. They are Arabs just like the surrounding population. They should be absorbed into the populations of the Arab states just like the Jews kicked out of Arab states were absorbed into Israel. There will be no peace until the Israelis are allowed to achieve total victory and run the "Palestinians" out of their territory. Since they will not live in peace, honor any peace deal or even take an offer of 90% of what they claimed to have wanted when Barak offered it to them on a silver platter at the behest of an inept Clinton regime out for a "legacy-building" exercise in publicity, they don't deserve to live in Israel period.

Second, the thought of the settlers' ability to wander about intimidating a largely unarmed Palestinian population with heavy weaponry must propel you into an onanistic frenzy.
Wow.. comparing zionists to hamas... Let's get this straight. Zionism is the belief for jews to have a homeland where they can be free from world discrimination. Hamas is an organization that in its charter, calls for the destruction of a country. Israel allows other religions, Hamas wants an Islam only country.
Through all of the hyperbole being thrown around in this thread, a very important point has been missed. As soon as the UN (that's right, the same UN the liberals want to get permission from before the US takes a leak) established the state of Isreal following WW2, the Arab people there immediately went on the offensive. The stated goal is to "push them to the sea." The extremeists want them GONE, period. Preferably exterminated, but gone would likely suffice. Until some reasonable resolution can be hammered out, there will be no peace and bombings will ensue.

As plenty of other folks have said, a pox on both their houses. The Arabs in Israel should just push for annexation of all the territories, and then push for the Arab right to vote in Israeli elections.
Man, easier said than done. Many Arabs see the terrorist as their only hope for survival. They seriously see Israel as wanting to kick them all out, and they see America as the reason why Israel is so strong. For us to be of any good, we need to be nuetrel, and not retarted and two sided. Yes. But, the *occupied territories*, West Bank, Gaza, etc are not technically part of Israel (even with all those settlements), so the Palestinians don't get to vote, but the residents of Jewish settlements in the occupied territories can vote. Otherwise, the Israeli parliament would be 45% Arab.
Mango, Israeli Arabs are allowed to vote. They aren't allowed to be in the armed forces, or own property, or marry, or immigrate their relatives and or engage in certain other activities to the extent that Jews can. If I recall correctly, the Israeli Supreme Court recently had to step in as the Sharonists tried to keep an Israeli Arab off the ballot because they didn't like his politics. So Arab Israelis political rights are still largely intact.
OK. Just needed that clarified. But, currently the Arabs in Israel don't have the voting bloc strength to push for the annexation of Gaza & the West Bank...........so it is doubtful your scenario will come to pass. There are some extreme rightwing Israelis that would support the annexation of the West Bank & Gaza, but they would also want the non Jewish residents <i>transferred</i>, so the Israeli Arabs would not partner with the extreme right for the annexation.
The last scenario would be interesting. Would the US support Israeli ethnic cleansing? I would bet the Christian fundy vote is so important that the answer is yes.
I just went to walmart.com and used their store locater and I couldn't find anything in the West Bank or Gaza, so unless you can recommend a good source of underground ammo (and, since I'm reasonably certain you have a long-term subscription to Soldier of Fortune, I'm thinking you could), I wouldn't be too concerned about those pics. Say, why don't you and the missus take another all-you-can-eat Disney cruise, this time through the Mediterranean? That way you could qualify as an expert in Middle Eastern Politics and Economics, the same way as your Caribbean venture lends credence to your razor-sharp analysis of the Haitian problem. I, though, believe that the Palestinians, whatever their many faults, deserve a place to live over which they can govern indepentdantly. I know you don't care, but most of the world believes this, too. I know you don't care, but there will never be peace in the middle east until this issue is solved to the satisfaction of both sides. I know you'd like to vaporize each and every pesky Arab, but fortunately the world doesn't yet practice mudflap diplomacy.
