so the point of this article is that obama sounds like bush/cheney because he says a nation has the right to defend itself against terrorists from other nations that have attacked them. how does this say he is shifting position as the article claims, its been his position since day one.

if this is some backway defense of iraq it still doesn't fly because everyone knows where the terrorists were from who attacked us, and we knew where they were trained and allowed to prosper.

    Egypt opens fire on Palestinians.

[rquoter]Egyptians open fire on Palestinians 8 hours ago Egyptian border guards have opened fire on Palestinians who breached the border to escape Israel's assault on Hamas in the Gaza Strip. An Egyptian security official said there were at least five breaches along the nine-mile border and hundreds of Palestinian residents were pouring in. At least 300 Egyptian border guards have been rushed to the area to reseal the border, the official added on condition on anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the press. A resident of the Gaza Strip side of the border, Fida Kishta, said that Egyptian border guards opened fire to drive back the Palestinians. Residents have also commandeered a bulldozer to open new breaches. Palestinians reported several people were wounded by the gunfire. Israeli aircraft earlier bombed the border area in an apparent attempt to destroy cross border tunnels used to smuggle weapons and contraband into the Gaza Strip. Dr Abdel Qader Higazi, a representative of the Egyptian Doctor's Syndicate in Rafah said Egyptian authorities closed the border crossing after allowing several trucks of medical supplies into Gaza.[/rquoter]

If I get hit in the arm enough times and see no let up, I'm putting my fist down someone's throat sooner or later.

    just saying...from a personal perspective.

very true. what right did the UN have to take land away from its rightful owners and just hand it to a group of people the world felt sorry for?

    He's right.

It hasn't, and will never, be changed.

The prayer I put on a piece of paper and slipped into a crack in the Wailing Wall in 1978 has not yet been answered, although it came close to being answered in 2005.

Any guesses as to what that prayer was??

    ;)

The US needs to get its hands out of there and stop giving Israel support. Your just breeding hate by choosing one side. It's stupid.

    I feel for the Palestinians.

It sucks for the Palestinians but I think these people will still be fighting a hundred years from now.

I just despise the fact that we're using US tax dollars to fund Egypt and Israel so no matter what someone's pissed of at us. That anger globally causes risk to our international companies and their products and services.

That affects our lifestyle and our country's economy. I feel for anyone in a violent situation, I just don't think there is much we can do without getting the religious whacko's on either side to blame us. Better not to get in the middle but make sure that after a long day of battle they both relax with a nice refreshing Coca Cola instead of blowing up a McDonalds as its a symbol of the one's backing the enemy.
