Isreal is being held to a double standard. That's what makes it different from the Mexico/Canada situation. Which it should be, what with it being one of the most advanced nations in the world, with a military arsenal wined and dined at America's expense and a democratic system in place versus the s***hole that is the Gaza Strip.
Just as Galileo was 'argued down and disproved' by the church in Rome. There is nothing that has been disproved. There are a whole lot of people who would have one of the talking points of their faith challenged by a rational examination of the facts. These people 'knew' the answer before the question was even examined.

Israel had been enforcing a blockade (which I think is an act of war, not sure though) on Gaza for a while now...denying all those people food, medicine, and other basic materials, but all the media is talking about is rocketfire by homemade rockets coming from Gaza. The US should strongly condemn Israel and send aid to Palestine. This would create a positive image in the arab world. This would stop isreal for a little bit. Then there can be some negotiations. If Hamas keeps lobbing missiles then we can we will have more support if we want to punish Palestine.
