Protestor calls for Jews to 'go back to the oven'. "Go back to the oven," she shouted, calling for the counter-protesters to die in the manner that the Nazis used to exterminate Jews during the Holocaust. "You need a big oven, that's what you need," she yelled. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,477450,00.html --------------------- Am I shocked? nope....
What about the ethnic cleansing of Palestine? http://www.amazon.com/Ethnic-Cleansing-Palestine-Ilan-Pappe/dp/1851685553 What about the fact that Israel started this whole situation with their incursion into Gaza? What about the collective punishment against over 1.5 million people in Gaza through a military blockade, which denied Palestinians basic things like food and medicine before this whole situation began? If a military blockade isn't an act of war then I don't know what is. This is for those of you talking about human shields:
Bad judgment by whoever police officer that was. Still, the kid started it by throwing stones. It does also not seem that he was in danger of death. Also, he says "I was scared a stone would hit me". ORLY? What do you think the guys thought you were throwing stones at? It also says that a Rabbi tried to intervene. Do the Muslim clerics in Palestine try to stop Hamas from using people as human shields? Kwame, no matter what, you will continue to repeat the typical Islamist-style fingerpointing rhetoric. Answer this: Do you want Israel nuked? Do you want the state of Israel wiped out?
Your argument is thin on facts and thick on name calling. I've posed those questions to you more than once in this thread and you've ignored them. As soon as you answer my questions, I will respond to yours.
I'll answer, NO I don't, I just want the death of the innocent to stop, ON BOTH SIDES that is.. here's one for your Sir Jackie Chiles, do you support killing 215 innocent children, even if they were hypothetically used as human shields?
The video from Mr Dave's article is worth embedding... <object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/j3Xl68kP4wo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/j3Xl68kP4wo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object>
Don't waste your time my man, he's a fraud. I've asked him the same questions on more than one occassion and he won't answer them. It's apparent he has a lot of hate towards Arabs and Muslims. He's not interested in a genuine debate. He's just interested in name-calling and trying to bait people.
I told some of my friends to be careful when they attend any demonstration. I'm seriously afraid of something bad happening... its going to boil over soon.
The extremist factions of Islam need to be wiped out. Completely. Everyone who believes the viewpoints of the Taliban, or Hamas, or (insert extremist militant Islamic group here) needs to either renounce it, or be wiped out. I remember from World History class (a long time ago) when they made mention of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Golden_Age So what happened to cause such an intolerant fringe to be born? I suppose they can place the seeds of extremism on the Crusades, but following that train of logic the Greeks should be blowing up Italians, and the Italians blowing up the Germans due to the fact that their own Empires of old were taken down.
No, I don't. It is terrible that Hamas is using them as human shields. The Israelis should try to avoid and minimize harm to civilians under any circumstances.
good advice, I went to one of the demonstrations on the bridge above 59 last week, was pro-israel, just to stop by and see it, was pretty safe there. later on when I went by the israeli consulate, just drove by in my car, was a totally different story, protestors against israel wouldve probably killed me if I got out of my car. I am afraid for everyone involved, its just a matter of time. I've been lucky my entire life not to ever be scared of being "jewish" in front of anyone. I have only heard a couple anti-jewish remarks directed at me, and never felt "threatened" I can't say I would feel the same way now if I was to walk around with a jewish star of david, or a yamukah and happened to be at wrong place ( i dont wear either but just as an example)....sad i even have to think bout it.
Crazy stuff... I'm working in NW Kansas right now so I'm probably the only jewish guy within a 200 mile radius. It's amazing how passionate and riled up both sides get when you talk about Israel/Palestine. I had a few Palestinian friends in college and always got along well until the subject of "occupation" came up. It was like they turned into a totally different person. Put a passionate person in a crowd of other passionate people and you see reactions like that in the video. If I had friends and family getting killed or under siege I would be enraged and upset as well. I just wish they would put more blame on Hamas. Hamas is getting a free pass from the arab world in the name of jew-hating. Note: I actually feel bad for the girl saying that jews need to be put in a big oven. She obviously has lived a sheltered life with no contact outside of her bigoted and idiotic family and friends.
Blaming the crusades is a cannard. The Crusaders went to Jeruselem to.... get it back from the Muslims who invaded and took it from Byzantium. The idea that Muslims can claim some special hurt when people do to them what they just did to someone else is silly. If that was the case, then the Christian world would be really twisted when the Muslims invaded Christian Sicily. When they invaded Eastern Europe almost all the way up to Vienna, or when they took all of Iberia before eventually being turned back in Tours. Christianity has suffered far more conquest at the hands of Islam than vice versa. If there is any special pain in the Crusades, then Christian Europeans should feel really bad about the Reconquesta.
Just saw your edit mrdave... Unfortunately I have experienced anti-semitism first hand. Had 2 random guys approach me in a parking lot outside a bar. I had never talked to these guys and had no idea how they knew I was jewish (I dont wear a kippah either and my group of friends are extremely diverse). I got the "Hitler should have finished you all off" and "I'm going to kick your a** you dirty jew" lines. Fortunately I was sober and just got in my car and drove off. When I got home I was absolutely enraged and even in tears. It took months to really analyze what happened and how I should react in any future instances. I realized that its just not worth it. Today I feel bad for those guys, I hold no hate. Be proud of who you are and show it if necessary... but do be careful in times like these. There are too many immature morons out there who might do something stupid.
