    I condemn both.
I don't support any one person, nation, or culture that is willing to kill people over religion.
    No exceptions.

His nonsense doesnt even deserve a response. When clowns continue to dumb down and simplify a situation as complex as that of Israel and Palestine then its no shocker there isn't peace.

But I suppose its easier to just vilify entire nations in order to fit your pre-conceived notions of the world.

    Not quite that simple.

The Palestinians pretty much laid down there arms in 1993 after the Oslo peace treaty yet Israel didn't end up delivering on many of the things that they promised and not only that there incidents of Jewish terrorists who shot up Palestinians in Hebron, refused to budge from settlements and even killing Yithzak Rabin. The second Intifada didn't start because the Israelis eased up on the Palestinians but because the Palestinians got frustrated that nothing tangible was coming from the peace process.

That is not to say that the Palestinians are innocent but that the story is more complicated than Israelis good just trying to defend themselves and Palestinians bad just trying to destroy Israel.

What do you think would happen right now if the Palestinians had all the control and weapons the Israelis have now and the Israelis were in the situation the Palestinians are in now?

Maybe they'd build settlements in Tel Aviv. ;)

Its the simplest ideology ever. Largely fallacious sure.
Anything to phase out the abomination that is religion, I'm all for it.

And if you answer the question truthfully?

Not a fair comparison unless all the Muslim countries in the region were Pro-Israel and Jewish.

    Its a stalemate for now.

Why is that not a fair comparison? It is a hypothetical.

The wall/fence/barrier in Israel is much more like the great wall of China or the Maginot line in terms of intent than it is like the Berlin wall. It is the difference between a fortress and a prison.

It probably wouldn't be good. I doubt the world, or even an Israel with the armaments of the PA / Hamas, would allow them to carry out another holocaust but they likely would treat the Israelis like second class citizens, deny them rights, take their land and make many of them refugees.

Anyway you raising a scenario that I didn't posit. My point was that the Palestinians did lay down their arms and it wasn't like everything was great between them and the Israelis. That is what cml was saying, "I have said it before and will say it a again, if the Palestinians laid down there arms today there would be peace and in short order two states."

That is the main idea but in practice it also keeps people in. Movement in the West Bank is greatly restricted and Gaza is basically a walled ghetto.

The problem isn't Palestine, it is Islam, & the Islamic doctrine that calls on its followers to kill all Jews.

Qur'an 4:55 "Sufficient for the Jew is the Flaming Fire!"

Ishaq:262 "Some Muslims remained friends with the Jews, so Allah sent down a Qur'an forbidding them to take Jews as friends. "

Ishaq:364 "Muslims, take not Jews and Christians as friends. Whoever protects them becomes one of them, they become diseased, and will earn a similar fate."

Tabari VII:97 "The next morning, the Jews were in a state of fear on account of our attack upon the enemy of Allah. After the assassination, the Prophet declared, 'Kill every Jew.'"

Bukhari:V1B1N6 "Just issue orders to kill every Jew in the country."

Tabari VIII:28 "When the Messenger approached the Jews, he said, 'You brothers of apes! Allah shamed you and cursed you.'"
Tabari VIII:38 "The Messenger of Allah commanded that all of the Jewish men and boys who had reached puberty should be beheaded. Then the Prophet divided the wealth, wives, and children of the Qurayza Jews among the Muslims."

Qur'an:9:5 "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."

Bukhari:V4B52N256 "The Prophet passed by and was asked whether it was permissible to attack infidels at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. The Prophet replied, 'Their women and children are from them.'"

A very small sample of the doctrine of hatred towards non-Muslims, especially the Jews.

Both Israelis and Palestinians have been protesting the separation wall every week for years. It was purposely routed outside of the border to include many settlements and outposts and in many cases, cuts right through many Arab villages.

The wall isn't separating Jews and Arabs. More than 20% of the people living on this side of it are Arabs. It IS there to prevent suicide attacks, but it doubles as a starting point for the next generation of settlement building.

And IzakDavid13, no offense, but you have no idea what you are talking about. Christian Palestinians are just as engaged in resisting the occupation as anyone else. So are many Jewish Israelis love their country but find the Occupation immoral. And besides that, most of the top echelon of PA is extremely secular - more so than the US Congress.

Even in Gaza, while it might be ruled by Hamas, one of the chief agitators with Israel and launchers of rockets, is the very determined PFLP, which is absolutely Marxist and atheist in ideology.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine has very little to do with religion other than it being used as a rallying point by both sides to appeal to the uneducated. I live here and often have an earful of some of the things said (officially) by Jewish religious leaders, just as bigoted and violent and stone age as anything you will hear from the most radical Muslim terrorists. The most recent and notable was from Colonel Eyal Qarim, a rabbi in the Israeli Army who is in the news for statements he made in the past that the rape of captured women was not only permissible, but essential to war.

both the East and West Germans slaughtered Jews by the millions and rather than the Germans paying a price for their crimes, the Jews were resettled in the land of others.

I think it would be like South Africa. Many Jews would stay and many might move back to Germany or other parts of the world. It would be better for both the Jews and the Palestinians.

Of course for you as demonstrated by hundreds of posts, the Palestinians are Muslims i.e completely irrational and therefore no recent historical examples have any weight.
