As an aside this is not the first time the IDF uses kids and civilains as shields. From an Israelis human rights group, those those groups are being repressed more now a days.

During a Border Police operation in Jenin today, Border Police Officers shot and hit a car with five passengers, including a woman, her daughter and seventeen-month-old grandson. They then forced the driver to park the car in front of Khalil Musbah's home and used it as a shield during a gun battle with armed Palestinians. The two women and baby were inside the car. In the course of the battle, a Border Police officer who was standing behind Muhamad 'Aradeh (one of the passengers) fired over his head, using him as a human shield. B'Tselem is also investigating preliminary details regarding the use of Khalil Musbah's relatives as human shields.

In the interest of being fair and balanced, which I am sure you care about glynch - what about the use of "human shields" on the other side?

 

All sides use them. Did the Germans use them at Stalingrad or as they put down the Jews during the Warsaw Ghetto uprising? the Russians in the fall of the Berlin? I suspect so.

As a practical matter when the battle is almost exclusively in 100% Palestinian neighborhoods, with no Israelis around and often the Palesinians are lightly armed in their households fighting a professional army without children they have limited access to Israeli civilians. I suppose you would argue that by not being out in the open street fighting tanks and airplanes the Palestinians with a rifle or two they are using civilians as shields.

 

I mean Palestinians (Hamas) using Palestinian women and children as human shields.

And I am not talking of more or less isolated incidents like the one here with two Israeli soldiers (who were probably ****-scared themselves to be blown up by a Palestinian Hamas bomb, but that still does not justify to abuse the child like that) who later got prosecuted for it, but I am talking about systematic use of civilians as "human shields".
