By the same rationale, if the Israelis oppress the Palestinians, they should expect retaliation. The fact of the matter is that neither side is right, and both sides need to chill the f*** out. It's stupid to argue there is justification on either side.
A good article from Thomas Friedman in the NYT today I do not think the above is feasible either because 1) Palestinians would be unwilling to turn over their territory to Egyptian or Jordanian control, and 2) Egypt and Jordan would outright refuse any security role that would place them in the line of fire from both sides (Palestinian militants and IDF), they definitely do not want that kind of responsibility.
I totally agree. The overall fault goes both ways. But if there is a cease fire, or truce, we can find fault with groups that don't abide by it.
Back and forth, back and forth. It just never ends. I'm losing hope that peace will ever be achieved between these two.
Moreover, why should the US be the "sole arbiter" on who's making good on their promises? Israelis consider the US to be their friend, and Palestinians consider them to be Israel's primary ally.
I was surprised to learn that Israel censors military info and even banned international reporters from conflict areas. Here is an underground site called Israeli Uncensored News http://samsonblinded.org/news which runs some very odd reports.
