Being anti-semitic doesn't just mean believing Jews are inferior, it means ascribing negative qualities to a whole group. There are other negative qualities besides inferiority. So because he wasn't insinuating inferiority doesn't mean he wasn't be anti-semitic.

Hmm, I believe I used the term "Israeli Jews" in the past. Now that I see you post, I think it actually makes more sense to say "Jewish Israelis," just like African Americans, Asian Americans, Muslim Americans, American Australians, etc.

 

There was no harm done because he acknowledged his sarcasm and it is accepted, calling him a terrorist becomes invalid, hence no harm done. I was also being sarcastic when I called him a terrorist.

Panda was clearly being sarcastic. What's the outrage for? Besides, Deckard, if meowgi is not pissed, why should you? That actually says a lot about meowgi's personality, which I insulted before but I shall apologize for it now.

BTW, that long post of yours in response to mine was heart felt. I appreciated it. The way I viewed it is that it didn't actually rebuke my assertion expressed early on. I agree with Glynch you put too much blame on Bush. The long standing one-sided policies favoring Israel have been there since day 1. So it's a bit unfair to single Bush out. However, the current administration's handling of the situation leaves a lot to be desired (I know it's an understatement). I believe if Colin Powell is still around, things will a lot different. Basso's Condi prez dream is dead, that's for sure.

 

I don't think Panda was being sarcastic, although he claims it now. Honestly, I sometimes forget that there are those who may not read posts the same way most of us do. If MR. MEOWGI doesn't care, I certainly don't. And thanks for the response to my post. Sometimes, I put a little effort into something, and you wonder if anyone even "got it."
