It's not "all" Biden's fault, but in addition to Biden's disastrous retreat from Afghanistan, giving Iran $ 6B (stop arguing technicalities, that's what it is) is a major policy mistake.
You didn't answer my question? Which right wingers that post in this section think for themselves? I'm not asking for a lesson. In the other Israel thread all the right wingers claim its bidens fault for the Iran deal. Again which right wingers here think for themselves?
All braindead twitter talking points. Thank you for exactly making my point. Nobody with 1/4 of a brain thinks this is bidens fault in any way except the MAGAt. Even the hard-core maga jews in Israel are blaming IDF leadership Bibi judical reforms which has split the army in half for months is somehow less vital than some magical aid that Iran hasn't even received. Half of the air force has been on strike due to bibi reforms. Top army Generals of IDF have literally been out on protest. Where all these "smart" right wingers at? Please do point them to me.
I would not be so sure, there is fundamentalism and religious motifs ....those are hard to eradicate. Zionism and hardcore Islamic views do not work well together. You can disarm but there are enough chemicals to build bombs...... A sacrilege to the ancient sites to be surrounded by this....for so long.
There has been a lot of confusion and much politicking surrounding the 6B. The 6B is Iranian money, and it was not released to Iran but to Qatar (more on that later below). It was used to secure the release of 5 US citizens detained by Iran. Whether you like the deal or not, that's what it was used for. The US Treasury has established a humanitarian channel to Iran in Qatar. The money does not flow to the government of Iran or to any Iranian companies. Instead, it allows for the secure processing of payments for humanitarian exports to Iran. Anyone who wants to provide humanitarian aid to the Iranian people must go through this channel. Surely, we aren't suggesting that companies and individuals who have provided or plan to provide humanitarian aid to the Iranian people through this channel are in any way responsible for the Hamas attack. The 6B goes through this channel and is held in Qatar. https://ofac.treasury.gov/faqs/added
Okay. You could also one day understand basic empathy but I'm assuming you are past 60 and people past 60 aren't going to reform to a point of utilizing empathy for the first time in their lives. But hey what you want out of Palestinians ain't ever going to happen and what I want out of you ain't ever gonna happen.
Another round of Muslim fear mongering. ATW will leave the trans community alone for a few weeks now. He's going back to his og hatred. Going back to his roots.
LOL, no, I am not past 60. I have plenty of empathy. I chose not to empathize with murderous terrorists. I get it, you support the overthrow of capitalism to raise up the poor and downtrodden. I don't think you are going to find much support for the pro-Hamas position, but anything is possible. At least Ilhan Omar and the rest of the squad agree with you though, so you got that going for you. It's a little surprising you aren't more outraged about them attacking kibbutzim, since that is the implementation of the communist ideals you prefer.
Trump ordered the retreat from Afghanistan, his administration negotiated it, Biden followed through on it, this is something they both did right. iran has gotten 0 of that money it is all in US control, restrictions are for food and humanitarian aide only. DD
Tell the 260 peaceful festival goers who are now dead that it's "just fear mongering", and their relatives who see the videos of scores of Muslims around the world celebrating these murders. You are not the victim here.
I ain't going to ramble about Judaism when IDF does there thing. How many rants of Jews have you seen me do?
No, I am not. empathy means to feel and understand the feelings of others. Sympathy means to feel bad for those who are suffering. I don't choose to understand terrorists or try to put myself into their situation. I don't care about their motives. Once you choose to intentionally target innocent people, you have no human value to me.
And that's your problem. And a problem if civilization held in mass would be self destructive as it would just be a never ending cycle. Wait it already is like that. So hey I guess you are within the norm.
The times in history that were the most peaceful where when hegemony was established. Pax Romana. Pax Britannica. Pax Americana. Peace doesn't come when the defeated are emboldened, it comes with the hegemon has destroyed their enemies so thoroughly that resistance is impossible. When Rome had defeated Carthage and Gaul and Augustus had emerged triumphant from civil war. When the British had defeated Napoleon. When the Union defeated the Confederacy. When the United States defeated the Soviet Union. It is the conflicts that end in armistice instead of total victory that lead to festering discontent and resume shortly.
Pax Romana required constant vigilance on the Roman border. As we were just discussing in the illegal immigration thread Hadrian's Wall required constant surveillance. At the same time Rome frequently bribed tribes along their borders to maintain security. As much as force of arms kept Pax Romana so did the massive commercial markets along with infrastructure development throughout the empire kept things peaceful. Even so eventually Roman empire had to agree to allow Germanic and other tribes into the empire and then couldn't maintain itself. The British did win victories but force of arms was definitely not the driver of the British empire but commerce. Napolean said it himself that the British were a nation of shopkeepers and his inability to break the British mercantile empire was why he couldn't defeat them. Also the US won the Cold War but the successors of the Soviet Union weren't wiped out as current events show. Int he case of the Union total victory still led to a century of retrenchment and resentment through Jim Crow laws and the rise of the KKK.
