The best deal Israel offered was a bad deal. 9:1 land exchange for the settlements is ridiculous, and it would never be a viable state. Israel never once offered to remove the settlements.
We've already discussed this. Israel wanted to keep settlements (8% of the west bank as you have noted) in exchange for giving the Palestinians 1/9 of the amount of land back. It was a terrible deal. Palestine couldn't exist as it would be discontinuous with the settlements and have no authority of it's airspace and no capacity to defend itself. Israel knew Arafat could not agree to these ridiculous terms.
You're lying. Israel said at that time they would be buffer zones and would not be Israeli property. There was a timeline to return the land back to Palestinians as long as peace ensured. Palestinians would have had full control over Gaza and it's own water ports and air space. You keep lying and I'm not sure what. Arafat didn't agree to it and now what? What the hell have the Palestinians accomplished now? It's amazing how you are so stuck in your purity mindset. They have nothing now
