The clock did not start on October 7. Gaza is best viewed as a prison or open air large concentration camp. When people subject to this brutality escape or riot they tend to be extreme. One example ,as has been clearly proven ,Israel for years carefully calcuated the total number of calories they would allow into Gaza. For PR purposes they did not want active starvation, but limited it enough for them to be hungry and given their obsession with demography probably jope that it would cause poor health and deaths that could be attributed to regular diseases.

Yeah like there are no natural resources in Israel other than water and sun and farm land. They were getting alot of farm land in west bank and they were getting their own port in Gaza which they could ship however much they want. Now they have nothing. The issue is outside activists and media figures give this false pretense that a free Palestine is possible and its a never ending grift.
