I hear what you're saying HP. I've enjoyed these past three years with the Rockets despite their losing because the heart has always been there and there's always something to talk about when a team is rebuilding. People may not realize it now, but when the Rockets win another championship, fans here at cc.net will look back at these times and remember how much more fun it was to just be a part of the success and failure that you go through than the accomplishment itself.

If you didnt find the Mavs game entertaining, you must be one miserable devoted fan,, This team is improving each game, and with one of the youngest teams in the NBA ..no ones skills are diminishing.
Seems like if some folks here take time off from their virtual gm and coaching jobs...............
YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME FUN WATCHING THE GAMES.

I'm one of the guys who's been down on the Rockets. I'm also one of the guys who really wanted this win -- especially with my irrational hatred of all things Dallas. Losing to the Mavs sucks, and letting them get closer to besting our 15-0 start sucks more.

But in spite of all that, last night was definitely fun. Yes, we still have a long way to go, but I think last night was the first time in a long time that I came away really optimistic about the team -- and not just trying to convince myself that things were going to get better with time.

It wasn't just Yao -- but obviously that's at the top of the list of things to be excited about. The offense was actually entertaining to watch for a good part of the game. Yeah, we bogged down later, but there really was motion, passing, and easy baskets too -- coupled with some great individual play from Ming and Francis.

I can honestly say that after this loss, I came away feeling much better about this team than any of the wins we've had this year, or recent years for that matter.
