And a triple post! Aye! I'd also like to say I live in Austin, TX. A terrorist attack could happen here and I or loved ones I care about that live here could die from it as well. But they'd be torn up if I died in a hit and run or lived to old age and had a respectable death in a hospital. Death is painful. Whether it's forcefully taken or happens on it's own, it's going to hurt. You are going to die AroundtheWorld. Chances are you're going to die from your own lifestyle choices than a terrorist or even a hit and run. I don't know what your day to day is and maybe you do run around dodging terrorist attacks on a daily basis. I doubt it given your ability to post on a basketball forum but hey, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Life may be hell for you. I don't know but as someone living on the side of the globe I live in, I feel safe. I'm lucky and I have less reason to be concerned about an attack than perhaps you do.
Sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you on your side of the globe. Glad I don't have be as concerned over it. I understand you may have more reason to.
Thank you. It's mostly just that I travel a whole lot to places which have recently had terror attacks (was just in London) and friends of friends have actually died in terror attacks as well. I would agree that Austin is not likely to be a prime target for Islamist terrorists.
Great post. I live in NYC which is target numero uno and there's an understanding here that at any moment we could have an attack. Yet we all go about our lives and know the chances are slim. After 9/11 this city has changed so much but not because we live in fear. What I have seen is that every side has dug in a lot more. As Islamophobia increases so does radicalism on both sides. It feeds itself. People like ATW feed that cycle and move more and more people to the extremes and worsen the problem. What we need is a way to reverse that kind of thinking or we will truly be caught up in a clash of civilization that will bring much pain to all sides.

Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan was a Muslim from New Jersey that witnessed 9/11... "Spurred by the Septermber 11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Khan, a 2005 graduate of Southern Regional High School, wanted to show that not all Muslims were fanatics and that many, like him, were willing to lay their lives down for their country, America. He enlisted immediately after graduation and was sent to Iraq in July 2006." http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/krkhan.htm
