    If I was going to second-guess Whole Foods' motives, I'd say it was a marketing campaign to attract affluent Muslim customers to buy their halal offerings. I don't think I'd jump straight to concluding that they were Jew-hating enemies of Israel.

    A lot of my classmates and a lot of other Ivy level medical students are on this lady's site because they signed a petition protesting the medical conditions during the December 2008 Gaza War. This lady called them a bunch of jew hating docs. She's a dumb **** and should not be given a national outlet.

    I was thinking that while Ms. Schlussel complains about Whole Foods and Ramadan from a Western Capitalistic standpoint this should be a good thing. One complaint I have heard from Christians is that the commercialization of Christmas is that it is diluting and distracting from the true religious message of Christmas. Its gone from being Christmas to X-mas which is a secular celebration of materialism. If Whole Foods and other corporations are getting into Ramadan it seems possible that the religious message of Ramadan would get watered down also and rather than advancing Islam would weaken it.
