Islamic honor killings - why the perps get off easy?

I don't really know why he has it in for that religion in particular, as opposed to myself. Might have something to do with the fact that he's much closer to the Islamic revolution/turmoil, whereas I am surrounded by the Christian failboat brigade. But the routine nature of his threads and predictable topic of his ire really has no bearing on the saliency of his points.

On the one hand, you are arguing that the pattern of Islam within honor killings is conclusive.

On the other, patterns are not indicative of any connection when analyzing a poster who shares some of your beliefs.

It's nice to be picky.

The main point I've argued, is that attacking ATW's character, or trying to do the basso/giddyup tap dance around his points with semantics and obfuscation, does nothing to actually help your cause.

I've attacked his character for fun and because he makes it easy. I challenged his premise with my own points before that, showing factually that there is no such thing as an honor killing for Allah. That's when he started arguing against facts. Also, I haven't obfuscated or tap-danced, and I have said that honor killings are common and a problem among Muslims. I also showed, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it is not a problem with Islam. There are texts that define Islam and all of its points, and they completely condemn honor killings. This is the correct way to make the assertion. Imagine I am analyzing America and what it stands for - do I derive this from an abortion clinic bomber or from the American constitution which is written with the purpose of stating what it stands for.

In addition to all this, the source of an argument is critical. The sources which he used for his articles have been shown to be biased. A biased source is a salient point. Also, as for his own theories, they have also been shown to come from poor sources, namely himself - ATW, who is known by everyone, whether they agree with him or not, to be completely anti-Islamic.

The only people at fault are those that are lying. Just like the Jordanian political party can not prove that Islam doesn't condemn honor killings, ATW can't show that it does. These are the culprits.

I do regret trying to irritate him with the football thing, and I apologize to him for that. There was just nothing much more to say and I was very irritated with his intentional twists and obfuscations to draw a conclusion that can not in any shape or form be proven. It is the very definition of bigotry - holding onto a false point in the face of evidence/proof just to further his agenda.

But like I said, everyone said what they have to say, and everyone here is intelligent enough to read and realize what the problem is.

 

Wherever Islamic culture is prevalent.
