It's not just one, it's any religion which promotes/justifies violence. We just happen to be speaking about Islam because of the topic of the thread. And yes, calling a spade a spade does help. Excusing violent behavior, or ignoring violent precepts of religious doctrine (or political doctrine, or whereever it may come from) is NOT acceptable should be roundly denounced with actions taken to prevent it.
i dont think some of yall have ever even watched the show. christianity is by far the most mocked and ridiculed subject on the show...period. in america we dont threaten people w/ death for their viewpoints or what they say. satire is and has always been a very important part of american culture - nothing is tabboo on that show - why should islam be off-limits? im quite surprised at some of yalls defense or making excuses for death threats. furthermore, south park actually showed mohammed on their show about 10 years ago and it didnt seem to be a big deal then. in america you absolutely have a right to be offended just like south park has a right to free speech. but you absolutely do not have a right to make death threats b/c someone says or does something you dont like. i have a novel idea - dont like it then change the damn channel!

But what if an American went over there and just blew himself up and killed hundreds of innocent civilians including women and children? He could say his cause was to get back at Osama. Is he considered a hero?? This is why your analogy is deeply flawed. These terrorists are definitely unreasonable people and it shows by threatening to kill someone over a cartoon.
Seriously, only thing 99% of Muslims in this world want when it comes to non-Muslims' understanding Islam is for someone to be able to differentiate between a Muslim and a terrorist. Even though some deranged terrorists claim to be Muslim......Muslim ≠ Terrorist. I don't get upset at someone drawing a MSpaint of one of God's Prophets. As a Muslim, defending my faith against ignorance is one of the things I will LIVE for... As for Southpark, good for them. If they REALLY wanna piss off extremists, they should just take the money they make off this episode and give it to a charitable group that genuinely helps Muslims in 3rd-world countries.
