I did watch the episode. Although like most TV shows, I tend to forget half of it by the time I'm done with it. But I can't see how you can say that the episode didn't try to connect Muhammad to terrorism. WTF could they possibly be implying throughout the episode? You don't have to explicitly say something that automatically comes to the mind of every American who has lived through 9/11, and bombarded with Bin Laden/Iraq/Al Qeada news for the past decade.
Well, it doesn't make me upset to see only Prophet Mohammed get made fun of. I find it offensive as well when they make fun of/insult Jesus, Moses, David etc. They were our prophets as well. And God is mostly always God. If people who believe in religion don't find it offensive at least when Jesus or Abraham is insulted then that's just sad. I'm not saying they should seek revenge or anything, being offended and a little outraged is understandable.
And now this thread is pointless because IT WAS SANTA CLAUS THE WHOLE TIME! Hahahahahaha Matt and Trey fist the ***** yet again.
i think they tie together islam and terrorism more because they're mocking the uber-patriotic americans that spew that crap, and less because that's what they actually believe. EVERYTHING is satire. i mean, america, **** yeah, right?
Are you saying you think they are trying to paint Muslims as terrorists? I don't really get your point here... help me out p.s. @$*& i missed tonight's episode while posting in this thread... grr
I'm all for free speech, but in this case, I'd be tempted to make an exception and do exactly that. What a ****ing idiot. (pardon my French)
http://www.aolnews.com/nation/artic...tion-muslim-warns-south-park-writers/19449242 Sweet! A Jihad on South Park. I doubt Matt and Trey are too worried, but you know it has to be in the back of their mind that some Islamic extremist nut-job could be out there.
Don't know if this makes a difference, but these guys are supposed converts, the way they talk it seems like that they may have their own little agenda. Taking these clowns seriously is a joke. Piss poor journalism IMHO. The South Park episode was actually very mild, quite funny to be honest, don't see how anyone can find this a big deal.
Why the **** are we putting up with these r****ded muslims? They should hire someone to assassinate these idiots. **** them and their Pedo Mohammed.
Thank you WhoMikeJames. I will express my first amendment rights whenever and whereever I want to. No offense.
What makes you hate me is my belief in Allah. My acceptance of Prophet Mohammed. I believe in God, and I accept Jesus as a Prophet like most Muslims. Therefore, I am a r****d with a pedo prophet who must be exterminated. I have tolerance. Intolerant people are the ones who need the treatment you suggested. In the end, we are both Americans with different beliefs.
- Media twisting the story: CHECK - DD pushing religion-hating bandwagon: CHECK - Story gets overblown: CHECK - AroundTheWorld giddy at the chance: CHECK DD, be careful, these threads don't usually end well. Oh ****!! Now I've gone and THREATENED you?!?! I MUST be threatening you! I am brown, I live in the Middle East and I hate people who abuse freedom of speech to disrespect others. It's CRAZY. Seriously. If you think the Muslim community got played by this thing, it's time to look above your head for the puppet string. You are, much like extremist Muslims, and unlike the guy who gave a friendly word of caution to the makers of the show >> pawns in an awesome South Park game. lol
Assalaimulakum by fellow Muslim Brother! Amen to that! We as Muslims need to fight against these freakin terrorists that are giving us a bad name.
DonnyMost, I'm not sure if it's sarcasm or misinformation or that you truly believe what's in that link... Do you really believe what's in there?
