    that doesn't mean jack.

in 1990/91 dream had these stats in 4 straight games:

    41 pts, 14 rebs, 7 blks
    29 pts, 18 rebs, 11 blks, 10 ass
    37 pts, 14 rebs, 4 blks, 4 ass
    27 pts, 14 rebs, 8 blks, 4 stls

and overall this random stat line is really meaningless if you look at dream's stat lines in the late 80s - mid 90s.

i mean yao had an incredible game and i like him very much. but don't compare yao to dream's greatness. at least not yet.

but nontheless: go yao, go rockets! :)

I wish I could delete this. Just read JohnMatrix's post, so "moo" is Deke.

evidently thats what some Rox fans in China call Mutombo.

Uncle = a form of respect to an elder (they suspect both he & Freddy Ado are octagerians)

It's really amazing how little acknowledgement Dream gets outside of Houston/Rocket fandom. Man, he was a beast. Look at those numbers!

Evan, I think a lot of that reaction is from people who just saw the stat lines, and not the game. They're the same ones unloading on McGrady, and ignoring his 8 assists, the way he distributed the ball, and his defense, not to mention consistantly drawing double teams.

He'll always get a number of bad/tough passes and yes they were to blame for some of his TOs tonight, but he's still responsible for some of 8 TOs out there.

Perhaps a more fair point, though, is that the Rockets as a team has to take care of the ball better. I thought in the 4th qtr they simply tried too hard to force the ball into Yao when perhaps some of the other guys should have made taken advantage of the attention he's drawing and take over some of the scoring burden. Luther Head had 2 nice consecutive scores, one on a drive to the paint for a layup. I'd like to see some more of that.

Anyhow, Yao still had a great game. Even when his scoring wasn't really there in the 4th with quick guys swarming him, he still secured rebounds, played D, and drained momentum-killing free throws.

No question that the turnovers need to come down. Just would like to see some balance with some of the criticism we're seeing here, after an amazing performance by Yao, and what I thought was an excellent complimentary performance by McGrady.

Head has really show some improvement, hasn't he? And I was waiting for most of the summer to see him moved in a trade. Right now, I'm glad we didn't. :)

    suggestion:
    1) read all previous posts in a thread before posting already answered questions
    2) examine photos carefully before posting questions to obvious answers (and then you will see yao checking out that power dancer's bootie)
    :p

Couldn't do anything? Typical Isiah. More like didn't do anything.

As bad as TMac shot last night, you double, triple or even quadruple Yao if you have to cuz if you get his points total from 35 down to 25, you just gave yourself a chance to win.

Did he do that? No, except when there was like 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

(on Eddy Curry's play) "He was out of rhythm and his timing wasn't good at all. Even if he was in rhythm, Yao (Ming) would have probably still have had a big game."

This is my favorite quote. he didnt use curry's bad game to excuse yao's good game. He's just stating the fact that he didn't like curry's play. Most coaches would not have said the second part.
