Ishmael Smith commits to Rockets summer league team

I really like Hughes, he's very tough and knows how to get to the rim. Not great size but can really play on a fast paced team with gritty D to boot.

What Morey called him, Ish. :grin:

Hope he doesn't have that ish tho.

 

Trevon Hughes is another tough as nails PG, but yeah the tools just aren't there for him to be an NBA quality player. He also benefited from the most lopsided homecourt in college, Wisconsin.

You call him Ish Smith. I've never heard anyone call him Ishmael.

 

He's not smaller than Aaron Brooks

Brooks measured 6'10.5 w/out shoes, while Smith measured 6'11.2 w/out shoes, making Smith taller, not by a lot but still taller

Maybe for now, but I will tell you this: Izzy Smith is an NBA player. He has lightning speed, GREAT pace/tempo, and a ton of heart.

 

He won't be making any NBA rosters. Horrible shooting percentages and high turnover numbers.
