Ishmael Smith, the senior point guard from Wakeforest, is going to be playing the point for our summer league team according to Morey's twitter.

    Please lock if posted.

He averaged 13.2 points per game last season and 6 assists. I've watched him play over the past four years at Wake and he's not bad. Could be a good 3rd string PG in case of injuries if we can find room on the roster for him. Thoughts?

Probably fastest guy in the NCAA last year outside of John Wall +/- Devon Downey. Our summe rleague team has its starting PG here; I hope he does well.

He was overshadowed his sophomore and junior years by Jeff Teague but still in my mind had NBA level talent. Good court vision, plus speed as aforementioned, probably below average defense and shooting. I fully expect him to take a backseat to our guaranteed contract players (Budinger, Hill, Patterson, Taylor) but rack up bunches of assists in the meanwhile. Good move!

Oh and anyone that watched their NCAA win over UT knows that he's got tons of heart too. The end of that game was just amazing how he kept executing for Wake, and he capped it all off with a buzzer beater fadeaway to boot.

So, welcome to McAllen, Texas, Ish. Garrett Temple is with the Spurs now and Will Conroy is probably moving on to make some cash in a overseas league.

Perhaps, but his job now is to make Hill, Bud, JT and Patterson look good in the summer league so their trade value would go up.

48% from the FT line in his college career.

Just one aspect of the game and Rondo is an example of a stud PG who can't shoot FTs but still...

In fact, both his FG% and 3P% stayed the same or got worse each year.

Physically, he reminds me a little of a shorter version of Head.

Even if we don't get a big FA, at least we know our summer league team is gonna be CRAZY GOOD

Perhaps, but Daryl's job is to keep all of our good and promising players. In a sign and trade, If a player happens to pick Houston, we will NOT be giving up that much, because there is very little leverage from the other side.

Shane, Trevor, Jeffries, Martin are more likely to be traded imo...

With the new CBA, small rookie contracts are BEAUTIFUL!

Kelvin Lewis and Dwight Lewis are also invited to mini-camp with a chance to make the summer league roster.

He is much, much faster. Word is that he is quicker than any PG in the draft with the ball, even Wall...
