    Good summary.

IMO, it will take two full seasons (including the summers to improve his mid-range and floaters; I don't think he will ever be a 3-point shooter as AB) for him to become the dejure starting pg for the Houston Rockets.

The thing I like about him is that his game is tailor made for the NBA, he excels in open court and P n R offenses, the zone and narrower court in college doesn't actually suit his game.

Watch his fast break open court moves, it's not just momentum and speed, he is actually changing directions at full speed.

Also watching him do a probe of the defense, guys that are confident of their dribble can do that extra step into their man and hold that position to see the defense react, guys who are not confident of their dribble can't do that, they just pull back out really quick.

Ish is already better than both AB and KL in that aspect of his handles.

Yes, and yesterday we played the Spurs who were leading by 14 in the 3rd before Ish led the comeback for us.

He still needs to work on his left hand handles. They're still very shaky.

He just needs to get a consistent mid-range jumper and finish better.

I remember many people questioned the signing.

As always, Morey gets the last laugh.

I got excited about Ish during the pre-season, and after the Spurs game last night I got even more excited because he seems to be a pure PG that can actually rack up assists. Tonight, although it was just against the T-Wolves, is another stepping stone to showing what kind of player he really is. Injuries are never good things, but with AB0 out, he's going to get a chance to show a lot of himself and his abilities.

Ish Smith and Rajon Rondo are showing people that a point guard's responsibilities of passing and defense are more important than outside shooting.

Or at least that there's more than one way to skin a cat. Except by playing bad defense. In fact, I can't remember the last PG that skinned the cat (aka NBA champion) while playing bad defense.

Yes, that's a jab at you Aaron Brooks. F***ING CHASE YOUR MAN AROUND HIS SCREEN YOU'RE THE FASTEST GUY IN THE NBA AND YOU ARE GONNA GO UNDER EVERY SCREEN YOU SEE WHY OH WHY OMFG.

It would be great for Ish to develop a shot, but he doesn't need one. What he needs and is more likely to develop quickly, is Rajon Rondo type assists numbers.

Luis Scola deserves a weekly appreciation thread, this Ish guy has a couple decent games and he's become the saviour, funny stuff. Too small a sample size to determine what he will bring in the long-run, eventually we'll find something to b*tch about, shooting straight might be one of them.

Point being, I don't see enough Luis Scola love around here, the guy is a beast and isn't even getting paid like it. He is by far the most valuable Rocket on the team right now.

This team wasnt missing INTENSITY. It was missing a playmaker-ish. Ish passes are out of this world. He gets everybody involved. He gets in the paint like CP3 and can pass like him too.

Bye bye AB and Lowry = 16 million next year

I hope Dish Smith gets at least 10 assists next game and starts cementing himself in the league. Morey has found yet another diamond in the rough.

I totally agree with you. And how many first picks have been busts, e.g. Olowakandi, Joe Smith and Kwame to name a few.

ish doesnt have a place on this team. morey can just showcase him and let him go for a pick or in a package for a superstar.

I love ishmael to bits actually

so sad to see him not being a fit in this offense, sucha shame.

oh well. we hired adelman, so we gotta stick with adelman's strategy.

such a shame ish can't be a player on this team...
