After struggling his first game and shooting only 2-9, both his makes being 3pters....he came out and played very well tonight. http://www.nba.com/dleague/games/20110119/MNERGV/gameinfo.html?ls=gt2hp2021000184 7-12 shooting, 8 assists...... I like that he is down there getting some PT to work on his game. DD
I really like Ish. He has all the tools to be the next Chris Paul, but he has to work on his composure. He can be really wild at times and he loves running that pick and roll, but he's great at it.
Really hope Ish starts to develop a shot down there. On a side note, I think everyone on the Vipers had a good game in this one... 55%FG vs 37%FG
Morey commented most people aren't aware of it but Ish has improved his shooting stroke. After watching this kid's game I thought if he had a shooting stroke he would have been a late lottery pick. His speed and passing are at an elite level. Or at least have that potential. All he needs is a good 3 point shot and he should be in this league for a long time.
I think he meant in that he's a 6-0, 175-pound Wake Forest product who won't be with his current team for very long.
Latest stats: http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfile/ish_smith/ 12.8 ppg 7 apg Looking pretty good. DD
Glad to see Ish is doing well thus far down here in the RGV. I will make plans to attend the next game and go see him play.
