People are really down on him right now, but he'll get a Lou Williams type of role somewhere next season imo. Just needed to get healthy, he was out so long and hip injuries affect every single type of movement.
Thomas was a HORRENDOUS defender. It is really hard to think of many guards all time that were as bad as he was in Boston. Kenny Smith wasn’t even as bad as Thomas.
He can still be a super sub though I mean look at Shaun Livingston or even Lou Williams lots of 6th men arent good defenders but they need to be good scorers.
The last season he was in Boston his defensive real plus minus was dead last among all point guards in the nba. Last year he was 2nd to last. At this stage in his career and with that injured hip, whatever offense he can produce will surely be cancelled out (at the very least) by his horrendous defense.
IT was a good story but unfortunately for him, his time in the NBA is likely over. On the bright side, he can still earn millions of dollars playing pro ball in either Europe or China.
I guess the league is lovin on Denver before they turn into another Golden State. Harden better get his fat ass in OKC-shape and win that cup next year.
He screwed himself more than anything else. Dude refused a generous extension offer by Boston, I bet he'd take that decision back now.
