What did Bonzi Wells turn down? I thought he left a lot on the table.

I'm not sure playing hurt cost IT so much. Ainge wasn't going to max him if he had stopped playing.

I suppose it's possible he delayed his recovery the following season by continuing to play.

I think Noel turning down 4 years/$70M was much worse because at least IT was at least somewhat justified in gambling on himself. He was a true franchise player for that year, I could see myself wanting the max in his shoes as well.

Noel turned down money he was lucky to be offered at all. He was a bust in Philly that hadn't even established himself in Dallas yet. If I saw that offer I wouldn't hesitate to put my signature on it for a second.

NO F=ckin wonder, Ainge called his bluff and would have no qualms about trading a superstar.

Its not his fault he got screwed by the Celtics. They made him play on a bum leg and now he will never be the same, thats why Irving sat out the playoffs this year.

To top it off the Celts also blew off his return ceremony so he didnt even get a TY on the way out.

In comparison to that the biggest crater is Latrell Sprewell turning down 21M (more like 30M these days) because he can't feed his family. It's a bugger crater because unlike Thomas it was all Sprewell's doing.

it wasn't his leg that forced him out of the playoffs in boston. It was a hip injury. He then opted himself not to have surgery and instead tried to use the rest and rehab route. This obviously didn't work out well for him and ended up costing him big time
