I think he’s right. We didn’t out tough them and their problems aren’t a lack of toughness. That’s usually just a weak take sports cliche that people use to offer shallow analysis of a team. They are a slow roster that has compounded their old, slow legs problem by having a lot of issues with each other that has led to poor effort. Too many players on the Cavs are in a combination of chill mode, get me the f out mode, who cares we’ll all be gone next year mode and why should I care because I know lebron wants me traded mode.
I think IT is troubled by the fact that suitors aren’t going to be lining up with the Brinks trucks, like he envisioned at the end of his tenure with Boston
He might be right, but there was absolutely no reason to say what he said in that moment. When a 32 point ass beating still isn't reflective of how one-sided it actually was, it's best to just keep your mouth shut about the other team. Toughness or not, we beat the ever loving **** out of them, and he needs to focus on what's wrong with his team.....not talk about whether or not WE'RE tough.
Says the a-hole who had to play dirty by stepping under Harden's landing foot. That crap should have been called, but refs still swallow their whistles.
I don't take this seriously from IT. He was visibly frustrated with his shot selection, the boos from the crowd, his minutes, JR Smith, etc... He's not healthy yet and the fact that he doesn't stand out bothers him. If he had the chance to play for Houston, he'd take it immediately. What was more shocking is the way DWade and homie were laughing during the Rockets 3-point-barrage. LBJ was looking at them with disdain. Either way, regardless of this current struggle, I wouldn't date count LeBron out. It's too early and he's proven that he can take crappy teams to the finals. I'm not a fan, but I respect LBJ. He's a winner and I do feel a bit of sympathy that his teammates don't match his effort. Jeff Green frustrates the hell out of me. The guy could be an all star if he wanted to be...Ty Lue is an awful coach (this is known in circles...), and his rotations are beyond idiotic. Firing him isn't the answer, but with a couple of line-up tweaks and some new blood, the Cavs can still compete. IThomas isn't the key though. It's Green, Jae, KLove, Rose, Tristan and Dwade.
How so? It's not like the Cavs randomly decided to trade Kyrie to a conference rival. The flat-earther forced the Cavs hand. Not saying they're the same, but IT is only moderately worse, on defense. Offensively, when IT gets healthier, he's pretty much on the same level as Kyrie.
I mean he’s right. The Rockets don’t play tough. Not their style. But that doesn’t mean many teams including IT’s can’t get badly finessed
I don't even think his poor play is due to a physical nature. I think he (and the rest of the Cavs) just don't care anymore.
Getting beat by 32 from a team that's "not tough" says more about you/your team than anything else. Son: "Yes Dad, I got 2 black eyes and a broken rib from fighting Randy today" Dad "Randy sounds tough son, keep your chin up". Son "No dad, he's 4'10", 75 lb chess club nerd" Dad "Good bye son, err daughter"
