Don't understand why Canaan is getting no love..... The dude is legit... He is gonna score 40 pts a game in RGV....
I didn't think about that, but that really does make a lot of sense. He was playing great earlier this season when he had a chance to get a lot of court time and get his confidence up. Maybe this will bring back some of that edge.
I don't understand this decision. Canaan should be getting PT. No need for Bev to play 30 min/night. I love Bev, but he would thrive in a 20 min/night role. Canaan is one of the few north/south players we have. Can create for others better than Bev/Terry/Ariza
Seriously people? Some of you love thinking our young players are the next big thing and should immediately get minutes. DMO rode the pine for two seasons before given a shot this year. Cannan will plat when he is ready. The fact of the matter is that we are in the middle of a tough race in the West and Mchale thinks Jason Terry gives us the better opportunity to win. Cannan is a good shooter (streaky) and he is horrible finishing at the rim, and let's not forget he is not really a PG. I love the guy and what he brings but he is still a season away from contributing to "winning".
If he isn't getting minutes now, might as while let him get all the minutes he can handle with the Vipers. I was really hoping/expecting Terry's minutes to go down or even him sitting out some games for rest with Canaan coming back but something isn't right. Canaan is in the dog house or maybe they are looking to upgrade at point. Not surprised Shved is going to get some playing time over Canaan. Shved provides some making and actual length and size. Plus, he has a good mid-level contract for trades.
Man, this has just gotten to the point of stupid. He should be in our regular rotation, getting at least 20 minutes a night.

He needs playing time and he can get that at RGV. With Shved back, he wasn't going to get that with the main team.
