Even though New Orleans has been pretty much horrible for 2 months - they're 1.5 games out of the playoffs lol. Not the play in, but the 6 spot. Remember the days when the Western Conference was good? It's tragic the Rockets not only accidentally sold too soon on Chris Paul, though his resurgence was kind of out of nowhere, but that they sold low for Russ. Just a total franchise killer of a player to invest in Harden and any other all star player would still have a chance in this diminished WC these days.
It's a shame, the guy clearly as some ridiculous talent to be put up numbers like he does at 6'6" with that kind of body type. Mini-Shaq if he could stay healthy and in shape.
What do you mean by "stay healthy" - he has played 114 games in 4 years (ie significantly less than guys who have bounced around trying to find a place to fit in the league like Bruno Fernando (154 games) and Jarret Culver (144 games) - both from his same draft class). There are only 4 first round picks from his class who have played less games than him, and that is not due to injury, it is simply because they were not very good (Dombouya, drafted 15th/ Samanic, drafted 19th/ Windler, drafgted 26th and Kabengele, drafted 27th). It is probably fair to say that the major red flags about him coming into the draft have played themselves out. His weight is an issue and has led to injury. He needs to get in shape, and then stay in shape, and then hope to find some health and string some games together. Once he has played 30-40 straight, we can start hoping for him to stay healthy What a talent, I love watching him play - agree with you on his ridiculous talent!! Just being wasted (through lack of discipline?)
u can never rely on Zion Pelicans with Zion would be up there with the Kings and Grizzlies, but u can’t even bank on him playing half the season Ingram stays injured constantly too
[Charania] "There's still no timetable for [Zion Williamson's] return. He's going to be re-evaluated later this week... He did participate in some low-intensity 3-on-3 over the weekend."
Zion has been more concerned with dunking in pre game warmups than playing in actual games. If the Pelicans give him an extension they should fire the GM on the spot.
