the way his shoulds move when he runs always makes me think of ZBo.

there's no way zion's in perfect shape. also, i just think his impact on winning will always be limited by his height and standing reach. high flying plays are great but rare. player's who can protect the rim by just being there have impact. being able to just turn and shoot instead of always having to make an explosive play to get past your man is a big deal. i think he'll score plenty but not sure how efficient it will be or how reliable it will be down the stretch of games.

That's Michael Ruffin, I think. The guy who infamously tried to end the game by chucking the ball to the roof and instead weakly tossed it to Mo Pete who scored a 3 to send the game to overtime.

Zion is having a solid season (thus far) for a 20 year old [24/7].

Williamson is averaging 28.1 points on 69.3% shooting from the field and 78.9% from the foul line to go with 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists (past nine games).

Really love how people talk more about his weight than his actual performance. He's had an outstanding sophomore season. SVG's done a great job of slowly unlocking his game.

Putting the ball in his hands and letting him facilitate is taking his game to the next level. I figured he was too talented of a passer to be averaging just 2 assists per game. He's already so effective with obvious room to improve. I think the hype was warranted, and he's meeting high expectations so far.

Zion is the Ronnie Coleman of the NBA. With his genetics and body type, if he starts taking steroids, he could probably win Mr. Olympia.

He's looking better in his second year. Still doesn't seem to be close to his Duke form.

Nobody ever questioned is ability. The question was about longevity.

It's a pretty natural reaction to him... he's had injuries, he rips shoes during games... he's a freak of nature that needs to take care of himself like a freak of nature should. Being 6'-7", 300 pounds, able to dunk, and move quickly is not something anyone knows the limits of. The stress on his joints and body must be insane.

I haven't really watched him play. Looking at the numbers, I'm surprised he doesn't have better rebounding numbers. What's going on with that?

Could be scheme? I remember hearing that rebounding usually translates to the NBA and he was a good rebounder at Duke.

The Pelicans have a bunch of plus rebounders like Adams, Hernangomez, Lonzo, and Hart on their roster. Hart in particular is putting together an impressive rebounding season for a 6'5 dude. Their team is #1 in offensive rebounds and top 10 in total rebounds. Zion's rebounding stats aren't gaudy, but if you look at where he ranks in offensive rebounding, it's him and a bunch of centers.

I also think he's still adjusting. He hasn't had a real offseason, and the physicality of the NBA is a different level from NCAA. And despite his otherworldly athleticism, he's still 6'7 with a ~6'10 wingspan. That being said, I do think averaging 10+ boards is possible for him.
