As punishment for canceling Firefly, Fox execs should burn in hell and be forced to eat their own excrement while watching a never-ending loop of Fastlane episodes. "Kittridge, you've never seen me 'very upset.'"
I am so sad to see that John Doe will not be back next season. It was one of the few shows that I made an effort to watch. Every Friday at 9:00 Then again I took it as a bad sign when the show was constantly replaced with a friday night movie or something of that nature. Then the obligatory, "John Doe will be back next week." They should have added, "but not next season"
Does this mean "Ed" avoided the axe? I really like that show, but I've heard ratings are less than stellar. I assumed it was all but done that the show was a goner. I hope this means it survived for another year.
I like "growing pain", and soon to be canceled "Friends" by the way, I like reality show "Are you Hot?" I think that one won't be return either
Nice to see the District is still on, I never watch TV anymore, but I always enjoyed the District. Thats too bad Lynne Thigpen passed away, she was a very good actress.
Sorry Cod 'Insomniac' Calls It a Night LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - When the fourth season of "Insomniac" premieres on Comedy Central next week, it will likely be the last for the late-night travelogue/bacchanal. Host Dave Attell says he still enjoys doing the show, in which he explores nightlife in cities where he performs his stand-up routine, and can see doing an occasional special. But as the show has become more popular, it's also become harder to make. "It's a victim of success," Attell tells the Boston Globe. "We'd go to a bar, and in the beginning nobody would know who we were, and then everybody knew and it became a circus." To avoid that, three of the season's shows were shot in Europe, as Attell traveled to London, Dublin and Amsterdam. He was there during the build-up to the U.S.-led war in Iraq, which made for some interesting interactions on camera. "People would be at a disco, and some guy would be like, 'Tell Bush what he's doing ...,' " he says. "I'm like, 'I don't know Bush. We're supposed to be drinking.' " The new season of "Insomniac" premieres at 10 p.m. ET Thursday, May 29.
Do any of you agree that Fox never really gave Futurama a push? It seems like they always had it on either the 6:30 Central time slot, or it would always be the first show on the Sunday line up to get the boot for any kind of special, or if Simpsons was going on for an hour. I think if they had stuck it at 7:30 or 8:00 and left it there for a whole year, it would have been popular and would still be running. Maybe Cartoon Network will by the production rights and actually produce new shows...is that possible?
The Seinfeld Curse is complete...looks like nobody was Watching Ellie after all... 30 seconds to fame was awesome. What killed it was not enough acts involving fire....FIRE!! FIRE!! Fastlane was just too expensive to produce. That's one of those shows that must be top 10 consistently to justify the production costs. My Big Fat Greek Life deserved to die...terrible attempt to cash in on a movie's fame... All of the shows my wife and I watch are back. American Dreams, Everwood, Judging Amy, Friends, and ER. I don't watch The Simpsons on Sunday Nights much, because I know that it will be in syndication until the end of time... I'm telling you...a TV channel of shows that got cancelled after one or two seasons...It's a gold mine waiting to happen...
The one show I was most upset that was cancelled was CBS' "Robbery Homicide Division." I thought that show produced by Miami Vice's Michael Mann was just awesome! Tom Sizemore was incredible in his role as the LA police detective. The show featured high profile crimes and a lot of style. It was very cool and unlike any other cop shows on TV today. I think the show got a horrible break going up against NBC's L&O SVU show which dominated the time slot. I think Robbery Homicide Division would have worked MUCH better on Saturdays. Nevertheless, the show did not have horrible ratings and was improving each week but CBS was WAY too impatient with it to give it a chance. The show was widely hailed by the critics and even was a favroite of the top guy at CBS but yet was inexplicably pulled from the schedule. What irrirates me even more is this year NBC is MOVING L&O SVU to another night so the new show CBS will put in that 10pm EST time slot will go against a much easier opponent on NBC, perhaps giving it more life. I wish Robbery Homicide Division had that luxary. Shame on CBS for giving up on this great crime drama! Now it only lives in re-runs on USA Network Monday nights at 12 midnight EST.
Fiiiine Comedy Central, you can have Insomniac. But if you mess w/ Chappelle or "Travel Sick" ... every one of your employees, sleep light. btw, Making the Band (Rap Version) IS BACK BABY!
