    Only Lebron.
I don't care for Kobe. Plus I think he is in decline.
All the others are good or great . . . but they don't bring more than YAO, IMO.
    I mean . .the challenges you have with YAO . . .
They still have with these other guys . .. need a second scorer .. . need more this or that. . . . I guess Other than LeBron I put everyone else on Par with YAO . . not better. . . just better at some things

That is your opinion good sir... If I was building my team from ground up, I would definitely pick Rose over Roy right now. He is only a rookie and he has great court vision, poise, and clutch. A great PG can make even a team full of scrubs amazing. Roy is great but you need to surround him with role players, whereas Rose will be able to guide the team.

Or, like having a wife, very faithful to you, very pretty (top 20 or top 50, wherever you want to put), taking good care of the kids and your parents and her parents, not caring about own fame but helped a lot with family exposure to all kinds of opportunities, AND making lots of money (although sometimes the exact number is unclear), although she sometimes gets sick.

But you just bang your head on the wall everyday and upset about why she isn't Angelina Jolie while keeping all the other good stuff.

It is more like having a very good player who some fans want to overrate. If yao was so loyal why hasn't he signed his contract already. I just hate when people always attack others when they propose a "Yao for so and so."

It was a reply to Lee's - wife cheating you but you get stuck analogy. Of course you considering the "cheating" accusation is nice, but my praising of a decent wife is attacking. Not surprised it's from you.

People here accuse Yao of everything and anything, I think you are the first to question his loyalty. Why hasn't he signed the contract? I thought you and some others don't want him to. He still has a contract, and he has a player's option in the year after.

BTW, I need to break the news to you, if Yao signs today, it will be for the max. That's just common logic, otherwise nobody will rush to any decision. That will be a huge blow to you.

You hate it so much so that you started this thread based on a lie - that some here claim Yao is the best player in the league. I challenge you to find that post that anyone consider Yao the best player in the league, in GARM, before your one star thread.

You opened a thread based on a lie to stir the pot, and then went on to say how you hate people this and that? Very original.

I wouldnt trade Yao for anyone. Have we all forgotten about the year when Yao was averaging 25 ppg before he got hurt, while tmac was still averaging 22 ppg? The only reason why Yao is never in serious talks for MVP is because he has so much talent around him, and because we continually dont give him the number of shots as most other MVP candidates. Most superstars average about 20-21 shots per game, while Yao only gets about 13.4 shots per game. Yao is one of the most efficient scorers in the nba, 1.47 points per shot, and hes not a wing player who makes threes to bump that average up. He also doesnt get ticky tack fouls called for him when hes around the rim. And this brings up the most aggrivating thing about watching our newest MVP. He gets touched while driving and its a foul, the argument announcers give is, just b/c hes strong and doesnt seem affected, doesnt mean its not a foul. Really?! b/c i wouldnt know anything about that being a Yao Ming fan, who only gets 5.7 fta per game compared to lebrons 9.4, also in those numbers you have to know that yao is our closer and gets alot of his free throws to finish off the game when a team is coming back. Mo Williams is the cavs closer not lebron.

The thread is about top players right now, not "who would you start your franchise with."
Even if we take your copout answer, your list still makes no sense. So, you would rather start a franchise with an aging Garnett (who has never won anything without two other HOFers), than the young, sensational Derrick Rose, who, according to you, can make a team full of scrubs amazing?

Oh, and any top 10 list without DHoward is just wrong from all angles.
