Agree. However, I think Yao know how to rest himself.
    He is MATURE.

I don't care if yall are ripping me for my comments, but don't many athletes train almost year round? Do you see the media making commentary on how tired Lance Armstrong must be from all of that biking and training for the past 4 years? How often do you think he takes a break for a couple of months? Never. What about runners? Do they complain about how tired their bodies are from all those years they have been running? No. Maybe I am comparing apples and oranges since Lance and people who run aren't 7'5.

Also, didn't Yao say they used to train harder and longer in China? When he went through that slump midseason didn't Yao also make some comment to the effect of that people keep saying he was exhausted but he didn't realize he was tired?

Finally, did anyone consider the fact that Yao might have simply been tired from 3 games in 4 nights on the road?

Anyhow, I did say that anyone can say Yao may be mentally tired from the travelling. I don't have an argument against that. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear when I said the travelling takes its toll on Yao. I meant to also imply that the travelling takes a mental toll on a person as well.

Sabonis lost his mobility because of injuries in his past not because of coming to the NBA.

It is obvious (again) that you either cannot read or comprehend. You are fighting a lost battle - just let it go.

Christ man don't insult me when you didn't respond to anything I said. My point is that other athletes train a hell of a lot more than basketball players and you don't hear about their cumulative fatigue from training for years on end. Again, I didn't say Yao wasn't tired from travelling and its effects, which no one bothered to read. I only said I think it is silly when people talk about how dead tired Yao must be.

Also in your point about KG, did he say how long it took him to get over the mental and physical strain? Did he have take months off to get over it? I doubt it.

Finally, I went back and looked at those clips noskrillwill talked about. He does look quicker in those clips. My feeling is that he looks slower now because of the higher level of competition and because of the fact that the Chinese had him working out his legs in a way that caused him to lose inches on his vertical. He looked like he was jumping a bit higher in some of those clips too and moving more athletically. I am guessing that he lost some on his vertical because he was training with heavier weights and not higher reps. This would also probably cause him to lose speed. He might need an offseason to fix the things his weight training in China did to his speed and vertical. I am just pulling that out of my ass and speculating there.
