Is WCS the answer at backup center?

Yeah I take the WCS signing as an indication Silas wants to win now.
Can't go longer and not be branded as a terrible coach. Even if
higher ups told him to tank.

    WCS:
    Roll-Man (PnR) 19/20:
    Warriors (41 gms): 20.1 frequency.......1.14 PPP......59.9 NBA percentile
    Mavericks (13 gms): 45.3 frequency....1.46 PPP......93.5 NBA percentile
    18/19
    Sacramento (81 gms): 27.4 frequency...1.15 PPP....62.5 NBA percentile

    Cuts
    19/20

    Warriors: 29.2 frequency.....1.22 PPP.....39.8 NBA percentile
    Mavericks: 22.6 frequency...1.42 PPP....77.1 NBA percentile
    18/19
    Sacramento: 18.4 frequency...1.16 PPP....27.3 NBA percentile

So basically WCS does the same role as Capela, JaVale MeGee, etc.
I'm guessing it's what Garuba is being asked to do. It's what I had
Mark Williams doing had we drafted him. They are a dime a dozen
but necessary. Dwight Howard has been a journeyman doing the
    same thing lately.

*Side Note: ohhh but Dwight Howard doesn't like PnR

Another valid point looking at it through the coaching lens. Silas is human too - Im sure he doesnt want to get pegged a lame duck coach (even if he is) and he should start showing some of that expertise this year especially if by his account he couldnt run his system entirely last year. If a vet offers a more polished game while still allowing developmental time to young players Im ok with that, but dollar store vets in a vacuum probably wont be moving the needle much even in isolated situations that suit their own play style.

Shooting should be the deciding factor. Whichever of these bigs can defend and shoot the ball well should get the PT.

I'm one of the biggest fans of Garuba....

I announced I wanted the Rockets to
draft Garuba or Kai Jones prior to the
    draft.

But I'm running out of patience with non play.
And what is his ceiling? Can someone else do the dirty work like Looney or Robert Williams?

Screen setter extrodinair, rim protector, rebounder.
    Roll-Man rim rocker.

    yes

he's perfect for crunch time losing.
    terrible offensive player.
    clogs up the paint.
    can't shoot.
    bad ft shooter

exactly what we need to pile up losses.
he's perfect for this coming season.
now trade for harkless and rj hampton.

The need for Pick-n-Roll screeners tutorial. Yes Doncic is mentioned.

U guys are funny, most of u are criticizing this move, but in reality, WCS would be our best DEFENSIVE CENTER.
